Default Post your vendor/dealer experiences here

Lets get a list going of Mustang after market companys or suppliers to avoid OR ones you recommend and have had great service from. For example: No back orders, good return experiences, quality of the parts, price, fast shipping or not, and service after the sale. Remember, word of mouth and this type of post gets the vendors attention, whether good or bad. Plus it helps others before they place an order. To start out I highly recommend: 1. Midwest auto gear 2. Brenspeed. 3. Tire Rack. 4. Graphics Express. I had return problems with Mustang Tuning, but was finally resolved.

Summit Racing!! Great first time experience. Ordered Flowmasters on Monday afternoon and they arrived Tuesday. It was free shipping and came with a coupon for $20 off my next purchase. Will use them for all my aftermarket needs.

My list may be long, I have done a mod or two. Here goes:

1. Saleen - Very good customer service, a little slow on delivery with high backorders. Purchase dfull suspension kit.

2. CJ Pony Parts - very nice products, fast delivery time, and excellent customer service (FedEx lost a part, CJ Pony replaced it immediately and dealt with FedEx later). Purchased Baer brakes.

3. Brentspeed - Great product, excellent customer service and prompt delivery. Provided SCT XCal2 with custom tune and gave business card to call if I had further questions. Answered emails quickly

4. Midwest Auto Gear - Great product, fast delivery, great customer service. Purchased custome plenum cover, no problems.

5. Strange development - Very nice product, super fast delivery, Supherb customer service and communication. Strut tower brace. Gave me the promotional offer a month after I bought product. Qucik to answer emails and questions.

6. John Temple "Legends" - okay product, had problem with original product, would not stand by warranty, but problem resolved. Fast shipping, okay customer service. Purchased ductail spoiler, it was defective, problem resolved.

7. Emanperformance parts (ebay) - Nice product, fast delivery, great customer service. Purhcased several billet cap covers for engine compartment. Very quick with emails and provides discount on shipping for multiple products. Gave me a shipping discount even though multiple items were not purchased all at one time.

8. Dynojoe Performance (ebay) - okay customer service and communication, but has a big problem with parts being "backordered" and slow on delivery. Purhcased billet ebrake cover and billet cupholder bezel, both were on back order, still waiting for cupholder bezel.

9. Central Florida Motors (CFM, on ebay) - Excellent customer service (had defective part, replaced immediately with no problems), fast delvery and nice prodcut. Purchased a billet throttle body, prodcut had a defect in the billet aluminum, product replaced promptly.

10. MMR - nice products and fast delivery. Have a small issue with hood struts, but it was a design flaw not a custmer service issue. Purhcased hood struts and throttle body spacer. Hood struts caused hood to be raised slightly, I just filed the bracked down a little, problem resolved.

11. CDC - nice products and fast delivery. Had no custmer service issues. Purchased a convertible light bar and an agressive chin spoiler.

12 Graphic Auto body (in Fairfield, CA) - Excellent customer service and great work. Painted/installed ducktail spoiler and chn spoiler. Squeezed me in in order to get car done for car show. Repainted defected spoiler for free.

13. Fairfield Tire Center (Fairfield, CA) - Excellent customer service. Installed brakes and suspension, perfomed wheel alignment. Final price came in several hundred dollars less than estimate.

I have purchased several items from several ebay sellers (K&N CAI, Flowmaster exhuast, Steda Underdrive pulleys, FRPP 4.10 gears, MAC ceramic coated headers, and various billet aluminum trim pieces, etc) in which I can not remember the sellers names but all of which provided excllent products, serivce and delviery. For a list of those, look at my feedback left for others on ebay (screenname mrvandermey)

I am sure there are more mods I have forgotton, but this should do for now.

Oh yeah, should I thank Microsoft Windows, ATT (my internet provider) and ebay as well? For every modifcation part I have, I got online (except the window tinting). Not all from ebay, but every part was purhcased online. I have yet to walk into a store a buy a part, I find everything online, buy and have shipped to me.

I've orderd alot of items from alot of companies. In my opinion they don't deserve a gold star for doing there job correctly.

I will however bash the crap out of the one company that totally sucked. RPMoutlet.com, you guys were horrible. Take my order, list items as in stock. Course there not instock, tell me you cancelled the non instock items, then don't refund me, then a month later WHILE I'm still trying to get my refund you ship me all the parts that you should have cancelled. Then don't issue a UPS pickup tag like you said you would. Force me to call UPS to refuse delivery, Still don't issue me a refund. Force me to reverse my CC charges, go through the stupid CC company mediation proccess. Then 2 months after I orderd originally the CC company refunds my ENTIRE order amount because you didn't reply to them, and then 3 months AFTER the CC company screws you for the entire amount you finally refund me for the cancelled parts. WTF? are you guys cheefing the good stuff while at work over there?

I do agree, that companies, suppliers, service departments and retailers should not get a gold star for just doing their job. That is like tipping a waitress/waiter simply fo rtipping sakes. If they just do their job, then no tip, if they go above and beyond or provide extrememly good service, then yes, big tip.

Here with my sellers and service providers, most essentially did their job; however, a few went above their job. I have had sellers online do nothing more than take my order and send me the part...no communication, no confirmation, and no follow up. But I have had many sellers and service providers who appeared to actually care about their customers and try to help out, as I tried to state with some specifics in the prior post. Only one was bad enough for me to complain with and that was John Temple "Legends" Performance. They would not stand behind their warranty and trie dto blame everyone. The problem was resolved, but not as amicably as I believe it should have been. I comprise was met, and the body shop stepped up to help out.

But I must admit, I would be warry of RPMoutlet after reading your post.

Wow, I have ordered from RPMoutlet.com several times and never had a problem with them whatsoever. However this isn't the first time I've heard of issues with them. The biggest one I want to warn everyone about it Patriot Performance, especially their heads. They have in the past and apparently still are having issues with not using the proper valve guides and their port work isn't what you'd expect either. There was a huge thread that turned into a fiasco on www.modulardepot.com concerning these heads just a few days ago. I will recommend Kenne Bell time and time again for awesome positive displacement superchargers.

I've heard some people have had good luck with them. Though my luck was pretty poor. Granted I did end up with free stuff, but I don't believe that was by design. Just more of there totally inept handling of the situation.

I've had great success with Brenspeed, Graphic-express, Atlanta Auto Accessories; Parts for your car (PFYC), Classic Design Concepts, LMPerformance, and Steeda. I've even done very well with RPMoutlet. Can't say I have any horror stories to report at this point. Knock on wood...

These replies are great stuff guys, thanks. I also had a big problem with SLPerformance with a lost order and had to file a claim with my c/c company. Will never do business with them again.

What about MustangTuning.com, I see them advertise on this site and have used them before with good results. Anyone else used them before and what were your results....
