Default GT Fog lights in a V6

Well one of the biggest reasons that i would like to get a GT is those fod lights. They are my favorite part of the whole car. But me being young and not having a ton of cash lying around have been trying to formula a plan on which mustang to get (options, engine size, vert or hard top etc).

But my question to you, since i do not know a lot about modding cars, is how hard would it be to install GT fog lights into a V6. Like would i need to buy a new bumper and grille? I know i'd need to get the fog lights themselves and they can't be that cheap but is it feasible? The V6 would be cheaper to buy, cheaper to fuel, and less insurance for me. Its going to be over $4,000 a year for insurance for me, so i am trying to think of ways to save some cash.

Thanks in advance

No crap... that is a lot for insurance. Double check that with other companies. As for your other question. To MY understanding, yes, if you want the exact GT foglights, you need to get the front fascia and GT grille which will already have the foglights installed on it. But, then you need to hook them up. Can anyone else help answer this question? If you want to have a 6er with foglights, you can either go base v6 and buy the upgrades with which you have a few different "looks" to use on the front end. Or, go with the v6 premium and buy the "pony package." It has a more retro look in the front end.

i would strongly suggest a gt appearance package. for example "v6mustangstuff.com" sells it for $499 minus shipping. i believe you'd get front bumper with the grill and fog lights aleady attached and a rear bumper. kit comes painted to match your factory color....

There are several aftermarket v6 grilles that feature fog lamps, but if you want the exact GT look, you're better off going with "take-off parts." There are a lot of websites out there selling 05-07 Mustang GT Take-off parts including front/rear bumpers, front grille, fog lamps, sway bars, rocker panels, shift knobs, steering wheels, rims, mufflers and more all from GT's with very limited mileage (supposedly 25 or less).

This is exactly what you're looking for http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/05-06...3574QQtcZphoto
Thats the GT front bumper and grille with fog lamps, but doesn't include the wiring for the fogs. The wiring can be found here: http://v6mustangstuff.com/05Grills.htm

I guess if you REALLLLLLLLLYYYYY like the fogs then go ahead. I think it blocks some air flow though. I was thinking about the centered fog light kit from v6mustangstuff.com but decided that I just can't justify the price for a hunk of plastic that is just for looks. Money would be better spent on a limited slip differential. Once you sit in your car and drive it, the fog lights aren't going to mean much other than "I hope this looks cool to others." Your ride though.......
