After more than a year of waiting and reading on this forum, I finally put in an order for a new GT last week. May have also gotten my salesman fired after he started up their Shelby GT for me in the closed bay (for the record I didn't ask him to, and it could be any other reason than that, although he no longer works there.)

I've had many, many mod questions answered by previous threads and rather than create three separate threads for this, I decided to throw it all into one. I'd love it if someone could give me some advice on these three questions that I can't seem to find the answers to on my own:

1. Does anyone make a black chrome or plain black replacement grille (not horizonal billet style) that resembles Street Scene's Speed Grille? If someone has the Speed Grill, please comment on the fit/finish and how well it has worked for you.

2. Who sells Mach 1 wheels and are they fine for use on the S197? Can't seem to find them at the online wheel shops.

3. I'm looking for your opinion on the last one. I want to install FRPP GTAs immediately. Do I have the dealer do it on delivery (I've heard they're then covered under 36k warranty) or do I get a better price online and have a muffler shop do it? I don't know if I can stand waiting for the dealer "to get around to it" after I know my car is off the truck.

3. As for the exhaust, I'd recommend you do it yourself. It's an easy mod that's not really worth paying the labor to do. Don't know if Ford would cover under warranty if they do it. That sounds suspect.

IMO the '69 body style was the best ever. I saw a 72(?) the other day and it reminded me of why I'm not hopeful for the '09 refresh. They may get a beefier engine, but we'll have the most desirable car to come out in years I think.
