you can go to about 1.5 inches lower on springs alone (H&R, Eiback, Ford Racing are just a few..). Lower than that and you will need to start correcting things.... There are several complete kits available, depending on how low you want to go and how much you want to spend. Ford Racing, Eibach, American Muscle, Tire Rack, etc.. all sell all-inclusive kits.
The biggest problem of going too low on springs alone are tire wear and handling issues (bump-steer is the first thing you'll notice- that's when you hit a bump, bottom out the suspension, and the car goes where it wants, not where you want....)
