Thanks for posting the spy shot of the new Bullitt. (I must have my browser set wrong. Any time I try to do a search for spy shots, I only get websites with upskirt photos.)
I am very happy with the CS. Ford was telling the people who got a sneak peek of the car that it will cost in the low $30k for one. So, naturally everyone thinks that is what it will be. My dealership was already planning the markup. I think it will horribly expensive for what you are getting. I'm sure it will be a beautiful car, but it won't be cheap. When the price drops, I'll think about picking one up. Maybe in the future I'll pick one up, but for right now, I love my GT/CS. Also, I can mod the CS without feeling bad.

I'm getting sick with the dealers ripping off the customers. If
Ford won't do anything about it, we shouldn't buy the cars. And I have heard the old thing that the cars are the property of the dealerships, but if they pull that ripoff then they should be penalized. JMO

I feel the same way, Travelers. I was a little irritated when they told me that. I voiced my concerns with both the salesguy and the other guy at the dealership I was talking to. They make it impossible for any blue-collar person to own a sweet special edition. I don't know what the markup will be, but I'm SURE it will be there. With the car already going to be in the low $30k range, I'm sure I won't be able to get it. I still can't wait to see it. I wouldn't mind picking up a 2001 one someday.

I have been looking forward to details concerning the new Bullitt since learning of it's existence. I would love to purchase one, I would even give MSRP. However, i will not give a markup to buy one. I bought my 05 GT in November of 04. Many dealers were charging a dealer markup. The local Ford dealer had 2 performance white GT's and one Legend Lime. He wasn't crazy about the LL so he let it go for $300 over sticker ($300 was fine, it wasn't worth arguing over and I wanted the car). The 2 performance whites went for $1000 over (I wouldn't have paid it). At any rate I've already given that particular dealer enough money so it's going to have to be MSRP or below.
Well, around these here parts...I would expect dealers to add anywhere from $4000 to $14000 over the MSRP for the Bullit...just cause they can and will get most of it (espceially for the first few ones sold).
I am looking forward to seeing the final product. On another note, if Ford keeps putting out all these limited editions, sooner or later, the standard Mustang will become the minority and become the collector car....lol
Haha, very very true. I'll still have my GT/CS, though. It is getting a little rediculous with the amount of SE's that are coming out. It would be nice to see the "customizeable" mustang back instead... but that will never happen.
