I'm sure all those people owned Mustangs, right?

Every car will have it's problems.

Browse around the board and you'll get an idea on the common problems.

There are various Technical Service Bulletins for the stang posted as well.

Overall, I bought my V6 in April of 2006 and I'm pushing 70,000 miles today.

I think it is a well-designed and VERY stylish car that is extremely fun to drive.

I haven't had any problems with my pony. it's a 2005. I think it really depends on how you're going to use it. Is it going to have the fuel economy of a import 4 banger? no. Is it going to be high preformance like the Italian super cars? Probably not with out mods. It's a pony class car. a sleek stylish sports car that does exactly what it's supposed to do, carry the legend of the stang and turn heads. that's how i see it. and i agree most people that say the stang is a bad design most likely dont own one or ever have. just my two cents even though i know it's not worth it.

For a while I was not a Mustang guy. Right now I own a 2006 V6 Mustang and LOVE it. At first, I went from driving a 2007 C6 Corvette so I was fairly disappointed in the Mustang, but about a week later I really started to enjoy the vehicle. It is a really fun car, a GREAT car to learn on and gets decent gas.

As for problems.. I see it this way. Every Ford I have ever owned or had friends own, there have been "Problems." For instance, on this Mustang that I currently have, my "problem" was that the 4 bolts holding up the shifter fell out. It was a simple problem, and haven't had any real problems so far, and I have been driving it for a fair amount of time.

You will get pretty good gas, loads of fun, and will be lookin' good doin' it!

It has gone through that and still performs just like new

These cars actually do pretty well quality-wise. They have a few bugs but nothing terrible.

ive had an 07 V6er for a while, and its awesome. i in this world for some reason theres just alot of people who hate mustangs for no reason. they usually know nothing about cars and just say stuff because they dislike ford motors or in some cases are jealous. id say its a good car, its got some giddy up, and it comes at a good price

56,000 miles on my car since February 2005 and no problems yet. Plenty of burnouts and assorted horseplay and the clutch is still hanging in there, so slippage as of yet. (Tires keep going though, i'm on my 3rd set of rears. )

My advice is for you to think long and hard about whether you want the GT model or the v6. If you can afford the GT and think that theres a possibility you'd want to trade up from the v6 at some point then just cut the **** and buy the GT. I'm at the point where i'm looking back at my decision on buying the v6 model and wishing I had gone with the GT because it would have saved me loads of cash in the long run since i'll probably end up trading in for a GT in the near future anyway. Just food for thought.

The new Mustangs are fantastic machines though!

We bought a used '06 pony about 2 months ago. V-6. We average 26 mpg on short runs, and I just seen 31.5 the other day. Wanted a pony all my life.

'Coulda bought any car I wanted, but picked the 'stang. No regrets here.
