I like the white stiching on the seats...not too sure about the headlights...thw switch beside the shifter looks to be almost a slide...could it be for the ambient lighting..?..idk....the mirrors do look to be a bit diffrent shape...looks ok so far..but not enough to put mine up for sale...as least not yet..lol

Yeah, the square center AC vents seem like a step backward. They are not as adjustable as the round ones. I could never get the square ones in my 02 GT to aim the way I wanted them to. The circular vents are brilliant....sad to see them go.

i have a theory that the switches might be the buttons for the car's internal computer. I am liking all of the changes that they are making. I always wished i had audio controls on the steering wheel, i think the gauges look cool.
And if i recall, they are trying to make this car look more 70's versus the current S192 that looks more 60's
i like it, but im also looking past alot of things...the lights arent great, but then again, the gt40 and original stang concepts had overdone lights, so i doubt they will be factory (i might be wrong). i like the interior, especially the white face gauges. they make reading the instrument panel alot easier. (my friends roush has them and are tons easier to read)
that toggle swith might be for garage openers, or maybe ipod connectivity with the new sound system. the new "sync" system is supposed to be on more models than the fusion/edge/focus by then, so maybe that has something to do with it..OOOOORRRRR, perhaps its a functional eject button
That sounds pretty feasible. Like a sport/standard toggle?
That's what I was thinking.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
Switches might be for TCS and ESB if the nav/radio controls take up more space below the new rectangular vents.
I also think the verticle panel of three switches next to the shifter are simply the bottom row of buttons relocated from the center stack down to the console.

I like the steering wheel mounted audio control, my '01 Frontier SE and '02 Maxima had those, I miss those in the Mustang, very handy feature. Also like the idea of SYNC being an option though most of all though- what's under the hood of these prototypes; the new 5.0?

what is under the hood is going to be the very last thing that ford reveals i bet. Everyone is chomping at the bit to see if ford is going to go with a lower HP and more gas friendly powerplant or if Ford is going to make a motor that will help put the Camaro and Challenger to shame
Love the interior with the controls on the steering wheel.
Everything else is slowly growing on me...

The Car and driver article I read said ford was keeping the 3v 4.6 for the 2010 model year then a 6.2L v8 with 400hp for the 2011 model year
Wont we be surprised to find a V6 under the GT hood......

What will be the price of the Camaro and Challenger with the same options as the GT ? I doubt you will get what you get with the GT for your money. If we had the money to buy one of these optioned out we would all be driving GT500's and have no worry what they came out with.

Ford of Australia might have already let the cat out of the bag. From Ford Australia’s president Bill Osborne:
Quote:
... Ford Australia’s recently appointed president Bill Osborne confirmed a new 5.0-litre V8 to be developed and built in North America for the Ford Mustang was being examined for possible use in Ford's new Falcon as they consider whether or not to continue with the Aussie built 5.4 BOSS engine.
...
I also read this on Motortrend's site.
Quote:
... But the Mustang GT model's V-8-currently a 4.6 liter, SOHC, three-valver-will be replaced by a new 5.0-liter engine that's essentially an evolution of the old architecture. In fact, the new 5.0 may even appear in a limited edition run-out series of current model Mustang GTs - is it finally time for the reborn Boss 302? ...
More spy photos...this time of the GT500. There are two different encounters represented in these shots. One is a bit weird with a roll cage & racing driver's seat, but the descriptions did mention that was part of the deal with some test mules.
These do afford a pretty nice view of the new front grille, however. I don't know what to think about the amber lights at the corners.
