I truly hope those chrome and amber lenses inside of the headlights are fake covers for what's real under there. They clearly aren't turn signals since you can still see them lit down low in the bumper cover. Ugly, although I haven't seen it with all the dress off.
My guess on the switch to the side of the shifter is a sunroof switch.
As for the steering wheel, I'd say a series of controls for the stereo sync that Ford is pushing so hard on.
As for a V-6 under the hood of a GT, NEVER. Won't happen anytime soon.
As for a 400 HP GT, doubt it. I'm guessing gas prices will kill that idea.

I will lose all hope for Ford if that happens. It's like the streets of the 60's before the Cobra Jet. The Camaro will release with a N/A 400HP engine in the SS I'm sure.
Imagine what could be done with even the current body and 400HP stock. Magazines & sites are already pitting 6.1L SRT8s against 4.6L Bullitts to get the desired results. A bigger engine in this comparatively light chassis will spank them.

my prediction, 350 HP tops. the 5.0 engine australia is raving about, while cool, supposedly is nothing more than a bored out / stroked 4.6 block. (what i plan on doing in a couple of years) if so, id say you would possibly see a 50 hp increase over the 4.6 with the new displacement. no where near 400 though.

yes, and you will not touch that 400 HP camaro for a penny less than 40K after the hype, I guarantee it. during the hype, try 50 or so. camaro has always been more hp than mustang, but it has also always been a heck of a lot more $$$. expect 2010 GT prices (unless there is alot of hype) to be around the same we paid for 05+. even if there is hype, we'll most likely see the same 3 to 4k over sticker we did a few years back. still no where near what the camaro will be. Mustang, as always, wont be the most HP out there, but it will (as always) be the best bang for your buck. and if i was you, before i lost all hope in ford, i would happily pay the current 50k to 55k that they want for a 500 hp gt500 over the camaro with its hype induced 50k plus price that it will surely carry. look at the challengers on ebay.....same thing... id rather buy a shelby...looks better too...
Guess I'll post my two cents worth. Don't trust anything MT prints (they compared a 4.6 to a 6.1 liters engines and complained the Mustang wasn't as fast as the challenger.) You will be seeing the EcoBoost family of engines in the Mustang in the near future, probably the V6 3.5 that is appearing in the Lincoln MKS but without turbos. The 2012 Mustangs will probably get a 4 banger(gasp) as a base model engine,V6 as an option and the GT will get EcoBoost V8 of unknown size. Ford has been drag testing a "new engine" that one mag said was pushrod equiped(it looked like a 3V engine minus the VCT solenoid and cam gear). Ford needs to find a way to drop weight from all of its products, as this will help with the CAFE ratings.
Here's one from a day ago, and I'll ask the question everyone else is: why are you dropping/picking up your wife at the airport in a test mule?
I think that's just a guy who went a little crazy on the vinyl roof install. He also did vinyl doors, viny quarterpanels and fenders, vinyl bumpers and vinyl antenna.
i would if i could just to show off... you would too..... dont lie....
Probably so - I'd like even more to be sitting next to her in Coach after a few too many. 'Soooo, tell me about your husband's new car...'

He needs to work on smoothing a few of those massive bubbles out.

It looks like they are going to take the windshield wipers off the right control stick on the side of the steering wheel and combine it into the left stick like on the trucks ford makes. That's too bad because i liked having 2 different sticks that performed different functions, it is just cool

The Mustang has windshield wipers?
Actually my only complaint with the sticks is that two Ford models (my other car is an Escape) each have opposite high-beam controls: in the Escape, you push the stick forward to set high-beams and you pull it back to flash them.
