I do like the glass roof, and that is something I wonder if it can be done to the older Mustangs, like an '07 say...And I wonder if you did get it done as an aftermarket thing, would it whistle with the wind, like some of those aftermarket sun roofs and the like, sometimes do?
Classic Design Concepts came out with a glass roof two years ago. It would appear that Ford at least borrowed the idea from CDC, or maybe Ford consulted with them directly on it.

Yes, and old roof is carried over from the 09 body so the glassroof can be used. Ford is working directly with CDC to sell these roofs.

I have been reading the new motor trend and car and driver. They both have positive reviews. They have one shot in particular with an 09 and a 10 setting side by side. The new car looks much more aggresive.

I haven't read all the pages in this post, so maybe this question has been asked already but...on the headlights I've noticed two different designs: headlights on the outside, amber towards the grill and the other design is the opposite. Is this an option? Has anybody else noticed that?
I hear a lot about the forthcoming 5.0 in the GT, which I hope happens, but has anyone heard whether or not Ford will drop the 3.5 in the V6 model? One rumor I heard a while back is that for the Mustang it will produce 275 to 285 hp. Also, do you think Ford will ever put a sequential automatic in it?

None of the rumors or "news" coming out of Detroit or any of the many "I have it on authority..." forum posts are reliable, because it's all up in the air when the whole auto industry is in shambles. A 40% loss of sales from this time last year means huge layoffs and budget cutbacks to not just cut spending but to SURVIVE. When a company is in survival mode, NO new R&D will take place. In my opinion, what you see now is all Ford will be doing for the next two years with the Mustang. I've made the argument before, and I'll make the point again... when a company is in financial trouble, and with competition putting pressure on (i.e. Camaro, Challenger, ...), they'll do everything they can to retain and attract customers, which means no more secret products in development... EVERYTHING is announced with a press release the instant it gets approval or hits the prototype stage. If Ford had plans to put the 3.5 in the V6 model any time soon, they would have announced it to sway customers. If they had planned a 5.0 any time soon, especially given that the V6 Camaro has so much power, I think Ford would be saying something about it. Instead, we have news about the next GT500. That, my friends, is the only car Ford needs, for branding, for sales, for market penetration. Beyond the Bullitt and Gt/CS, there's just no compelling reason to put scarce R&D dollars into anything else right now.

There's enough chatter from the right people to make me think the new 5.0 (4v, DI coming later) is real, and coming in model year 2011. You won't see much official news because - surprise - Ford wants to sell 2010 GTs. Now whether the 5.0 will be an optional engine, or an engine in a new SE is what is really up in the air.
As far as the V6, if you were Ford, getting spanked by a Camaro V6 with direct injection, I think you'd want to drop the Ecoboost V6 in the Stang. That engine is real, and is currently being placed in real products. We should at least see the 3.5 if nothing else. 6-speed options in all higher end models is also a target apparently.

It seems to me, that Ford decided to follow the Camaro on the front nose of the GT, but decided to follow the Charger's lead on the GT500. Of course, the rear end still reminds me of a 350Z or maybe an Acura coupe. So it begs the questions, has Ford lost its ability to define its own identity such that Ford really needs to "borrow" cues from the competition?
