I'm planning on buying a mustang by the end of this year. so far i have been going back n forth between the 09 n 10 but prefer the 10 much more...much much more.
I'm most likely gonna try to lease it with option to buy. (by the end of the lease i should be making more money so i can start modding or trade if i get the v6 , trade it in for v 8 n start modding. Looking at Roush for mods (insert evil grin)
What do you find better other than interior over the previous one?

I've owned a '10 GT for about 2 weeks - very happy with it so far. I've always owned Camaros & GM vehicles, so not sure how it compares to a '05-'09. I was gonna buy a '10 Camaro and only test drove a mustang to check it out. It seems quicker than a Camaro - the Camaro feels heavy and slow to get moving. I like the interior of the Mustang a lot better also, can't see out of a Camaro.

I owned a 2007 Torch Red Mustang GT with the 3:55 rear gear. I now own a 2010 TR with a 3:73 (Track Pack).
The interior is much nicer and more refined. The seats are nicer. The stereo is better. The new car has noticeable more horsepower. My new car is much faster and handles better (due, in part, to the Track Pack option).
I prefer the styling of the new car over the older car (why else would I buy a new one?).
Track Pack:
Quote:
GT Track Package II (manual only)
Performance front/rear brake pads
GT500 Sta-Bars and rear lower control arms
Retuned struts and shocks
19-inch Pirelli Summer tires
3.73 axle ratio with carbon plates in the differential
Recalibrated AdvanceTrac®, traction control and anti-lock brakes

The 2010 is actually stiffer and more refined. How they improved on something that was good is beyond me. I drove a 2010 convert and Ford's test track in Dearborn and it was stiffer than my 06 with a roll bar in it.
As for the Camaro...visual impairment is a HUGE complaint on those. And...you can't get a helmet in our out of the door windows. Won't pass tech in many sanctioning body rules for escape with the doors pinned shut

Not to mention if you pull up at a gated community, you have to exit the car and walk up the the dial pad because there is no reaching it from a camaro (as well as many other vehicles like an RX8) and then RUN back to your car and hussle through the gates...same thing for ATM approaches.. lol

Now there's something that makes absolutely zero sense, since most of the test tracks have a keypad for the drivers to access the track. Didn't it pop in anyone's head

They did the chop top for the out law looks... I am assuming the tracks have the key access sticking out further so that you can reach it from a sports car without curbing your wheels.
But at apartments and home developments, they are higher and further back accomidating sedans and SUVs..they do this because the dumb *** soccer moms would completely destroy the access panel if they designed them to stick out any. But with something like a Camaro or RX8, you have to either curb your tires, CRAWL OUT THE WINDOW...or just pull way over and get out...i know from personal experience and it sounds like a small nit picky thing..and to some it would be a non issue..but to me it was a ROYAL pain in the a**
Most fast food drive through windows you can reach up and pay/get your food no problem still...but not for gated communities and ATM drive throughs. Ugghhh...

It does sound like a situation that is just a very small issue. Who buys a car because it works well at a fast food restaurant or an ATM?

My soccer mom wife has never hit anything. She drives a big SUV because she wants the kids to be safe. I sure would not allow my kids in a small little Honda Fit.
I wish that I could get my wife to go to an ATM. She has found it easier to just find my wallet.

Ahh...well i know its not politically correct to "generalize" and i am sorry. However, having said that....your wife being in the small % of exceptions, still does not disprove the rule. Trust me, one of those "types" would eventually hit and destroy the panel. lol I not saying that someone drunk or inexperienced or on there cell phone would also not be good candidates as well.....
When i had mine i stopped going to ATMs and just got extra cash at the check out in target. My Girl friend lived in a gated apartment though and i started just looking for someone going through the gate and just tailing them in, rather than fighting with having to crawl out my window or park and run...we are talking like 3x a week here so it was an issue. She eventually got a key fab for me because of it. Much BIGGER issue i would think around Atlanta when 80% of the apartments and 60% of the housing developments are gated now days.

I am probably the guy that is the most "politically incorrect" guy that you have ever meet. I could prove it, but I would certainly get banned.
Nonetheless, you've just stated your opinion, and I stated my opinion. This is the intraweb.

You were doing well until this sentence. You will certainly not find 80% of Atlanta apartments and 60% of subdivisions protected by gated entrances.
I protect my non-gated house by what is called two Glocks and a few rifles. A gated community only protects one from normal people. A person that knows how to hit a target protects one from criminals.
