We are not having any eco-anythings on the 2010 Mustang. In fact, the new 4.6 doesn't use any fuel at all, but runs on a spotted owl/snail darter blend.
no i would not trade in my 05 or my 08 i still like our style better looks alot more the back in the day look also they still have those huge foglights i cant handle they should be behind the grill but thats just me also i told myself ill never buy new again this was the last going after a 68 fastback next but my opinion s197 rules
I'd buy a new Camaro before a 2010 Mustang, why in the world would I buy something with less HP...............isn't that why we all up grade?
(I'd still keep my 05 too)
if they improved the headrests so you don't have to either have your head jammed forward, or recline the seat back, then perhaps.
With the Camaro v6 pumping out over 300HP, I don't get why Ford stuck with the same entry level v6 engine. They had best be $thousands less or you'll see v6 camaros being bought instead of GT's.
Sure, I know about torque but the HP number is what most look at.
Because Ford has to please the masses! Believe it or not the majority of people don't care for a 300hp car. Good point is that my business partner hates driving my GT. However when I was given a V6 car for a rental, she loved it! Minimal noise, no quick movements when pressing on the throttle, she just likes how the car looks. Ford is right on with offering a lower horsepower V6 to stay in the game. Thats one of the main reasons why it continues to sell the Mustang without a dry spell. I'm gonna guess the V6 Camaro will appeal to the GT types while the SS will be for the GT500 type crowd. Ford has the least amount of financial troubles out of the Big 3 since it knows how to market and sell most of it's cars such as the Mustang.
I know we haven't actually SEEN the new model, but so far, it looks like Ford made a mistake with this particular change. Only about 10% of voters would exchange cars.
In a time when Ford would really need to be making nothing but the very best and most popular things.... They change one of their most popluar vehicles into something people like less.
Maybe we need to see what it really looks like but for now, I am glad I got mine when I did. My big fear is that if I wreck my baby and the replacement policy on my insurance is invoked (USAA will buy me the new model of what I was driving), I would be stuck with the new one.
Now that policy would be very cool, if someone would just smack into my 1979 Jaguar. I would happily trade what I have for the new V8 coupe. USAA didn't even blink when I told them the new one was upwards of $60,000. I think the policy is $12 extra a month! It's like a lottery for bad drivers.

The problem I have with this is there were die hards that did not like the S197's till they came out. Some still don't like them.
I think with the interior upgrades, and possible engine advances, it will be a great addition to the Mustang family.
I'm looking at 2011 anyhow, lessons learned on buying the 2005 with the tsb's that were fixed in the later versions. Although, I don't regret buying the 05..

No way I'd trade in my 07. The ONLY thing they changed that I like is the raise in the rear quarter panel and the line down the doors. All the other stuff including the interior don't move me at all.

i dont know why the ss camaro will appeal to the gt500 crowd cause the stock gt is still gonna be just as fast gt500 is in the class with vettes just like the challenger the srt8 is there top option and its still slow ya chevy and dodge went the 400hp route but they also went the 4200lb route also and they both went with the gay independent susp. there are only two true muscle cars left and they are mustangs and vettes due to they have never had to take a break in production they are the only ones who have survived through it all bring on the biggest chevy and dodge and we will have a stang waiting to smoke it
Have seen and read about all I can on the 10's. Will see one in person on Sat at the Boston Car Show. So far I gotta go with NO.
It's not enough to get me to trade out my first pony.

I should of clarified that people who can spend money in the high 30's to low 40's will, aka, the GT500/new SS crowd. The SS is the top of the line as with the GT500 of both models. You cant compare the new SS to a GT Mustang, maybe the RS version, but its geared more towards the GT500/SS type market. It's pretty obvious the SS will never sell close to its sticker price, we all should know that from the debacle of the GT500 release. My dealer is still asking $65,000 for a GT500!!!
