I had a test drive in a 2010 GT. Very nice inside and out. The front and rear look much better than the 09's. Nice throw of the shifter, and you can feel it's got more power. I had to go for more car though. I purchased a 2010 GT500. Still waiting for it to arrive.
Finally found a 2010 GT Premium automatic that was available for test driving (Fairfax, Va). I was very impressed at the quality and workmanship of the interior. The seats are very comfortable and fit my 6'2" 200 lb body nicely. A salesman didn't accompany me on my test drive so I was able to push the pony a bit to see what it could do. The car handled very well and the throttle response really surprised me. As advertised, the intake noise notified the driver that something was going on under the hood. The first mod for me would be to add some Flowmasters for a perfect blend of intake & exhaust. I liked the 2010 exterior much better in person than I did seeing it in photos. The only change for me would be to order a pedestal spoiler rather than the ducktail. An option that I would like to see Ford offer for us "auto tran" drivers is a paddle or ratchet shifter.

I do like the front of the 2010s but i don't like the rear end..
I think its going to take awhile to grow on me.

I drove one over at Citrus Motors, I worked their for like 4 years so they let me take one for a spin. It is a great car, love the glass roof, fit and finish is way better then the 2005 cars, interior is great, still don't know about that back end, but it is starting to grow on me.
If you are in So Cal and you are looking for a new Mustang or any car see my friend Jason he is a major Mustang guy has a 1965 we are restoring and he will take good care of you, plus he is the internet guy and is on salary so no cheesy commission hungry sales guy trying to make his check off that one sale.

I test drove a 2010 GT vert. a couple weeks ago. I am impressed with the interior. It doesn't have that cheap domestic feel that I was expecting. What I was disappointed with was how much flex the body had. It was so bad that you could feel the seat going in a different way than the steering wheel when going over bumps. Its as if they didn't add any support when they took the roof off the coupe. As far as would I buy one, I would have to say no. I like my 2008 GT a whole lot more. Its not only easier on the eyes but I think it has more personality. I got the impression that the new one was trying too hard to appeal to a foreign market rather than retain its heritage. Idk...maybe my opinion will change with time. But they definitely need to fix the chassis flex...

I test drove the 2010 GT. And should be getting mine from ford soon, my build date is Oct 5th.

How long, from the time it was ordered til the time you got your build date?
I ordered mine Sept 1 and as of yet, I dont have a build date. They said something about the 5th-12th of October, I think that may be the potential build date range..however, they are telling me, now, that the car is being serialized. I'm hoping it's not too much longer. I am currently expecting the end of October or the first week of November that it will be delivered.

First mustang I have owned. I test drove the GT and the V6. I bought the GT
I will tell you that the interior of the 2010 is much improved over the 2009.
Personally I love the styling of the 2010 over the 05-09's. The back end initially didnt do it for me, but the more I look at it the more I like it. I love the flares over the rear wheels.
I have not experienced any body flex. I dunno what that dude been smokin, but this car is so much stiffer than anything I have ever driven.
I love this car. Only complaint is the gas mileage.

From talking to the dealer, when its built, it will take a week to 8 physical days, to get a delivery date. Please post pic's of yours when you get it.
Mine, will be in the garrage for about the first 5 days when i get it. I will post after that.
