Default Anyone here get a 2010 Mustang GT with dealer supercharger?

Alot of talk about how the Camaro and Challenger with the SS and SRT being the big power pony cars. But you can goto the dealer right now (Or so Ive heard) and buy a Mustang GT right now that can beat either of these cars. A 2010 GT with a dealer installed blower. Complete with factory warranty and hopefully extended warranties available. But I have not heard of anyone doing so. Someone by now must of. Speak up and tell us about your almost unknown SS killer. I would think that by now a magazine would of testes one.

You can always get a dealership to bolt on anything out of the Ford Motorsports catalog. Most mustang guys in the know are waiting for the born again 5.0 "Coyote" engine that is supposed to debut in 2011.

The Sept 2009 issue of 5.0 Mustangs & Super Fords magazine has an article on one. I am not sure if the supercharger is factory or dealer installed but it is covered by the warranty.

I know I wouldn't want my local dealer doing the install, not this one. They have a great parts department. I'd use one of the authorized installers from who you get the blower from. That or just get something like a Roush where you get the whole package, performance and handling

I am not too impressed with the Roush M90 blowers on te 2010s. Three different magazines could not get one into the 12s. One drove one to a 13.6!!!! There are stock GT reviews quicker. I know it was summer heat and maybe they were not broken in but a 13.6 @107! Im hoping that it was the same car.
I want to know if anyone has the FRPP/whipple that they put on a brand new car and got the full warranty. Roush should really just put the TVS blower on these cars as the M90 is so old news.
And will the 500hp FRPP blower still get a warranty or just the 400hp one? As far as the Coyote it just seems so distant in the future. I just want to know what the 400hp dealer blower cars are running and if anyone dynoed one with the car exactly as the dealer gave it to them. No more aggressive tune or smaller pulleys. Just curious.

You must still be young. Sadly, years just fly by for me. I'm waiting for the 2012 models, and I'll park one of them next to the Bullitt. Won't be long now (feeling old today).

I though Roush had come out with the TVS and found it. It's what they use on their P-51.

I test drove a 2008 Racecraft Saleen yesterday that comes with a factory tune Saleen series VI blower and was not impressed at all. In factory trim it pushes 4.5psi and has not gauges. Basically a stock trim GT with suspension upgrades and a blower. Good platform to build on but 35,000 is kinda steep and the car is REALLY plain looking.

I don't really see a problem with buying the new mustang with a factory supercharger, its under warranty at least. Though, I would probably wait for a coyote anyways and who knows if there going to throw in some other cool features such as a T56.

As far as Roush and Saleen are conserned you might as well just buy a GT500 with a FAR superior engine and get better performance. No offense but for the price they charge to change the look of a stock mustang its not even worth it anymore. Id be moving on to bigger and better things such as the GT500, or even a vette.

unless they changed a whole lot of engine components that i didn't hear about, i don't see why you can't get the whipple bolted onto your stang from the dealer. but like what was said, i'd go with an aftermarket one cause i'd want the 500HP one without a warrenty from ford anyway
