2011 Mustang info: Take it with a grain of salt, but....
From another forum:
3.7L V6 to be rated at 315 horsepower: Same as 2010 GT; 15 hp more than Camaro V6
No immediate plans for EcoBoost V6 Mustang due to small horsepower gap between EcoBoost and 5.0L V8 (365 vs 400)
2011 Mustang GT to be rated at 400 horsepower, will get increase in 2012
2011 Mustang GT to get 6-speed transmission and variable valve timing
2011 Mustang GT Track Pack to include Brembo brakes
2011 Mustang GT 5.0L V8, 6-speed, track pack, Brembo brakes ran even with 414-hp BMW M3, which is 200 lbs lighter, at GingerMan Raceway in South Haven, Michigan
2011 Shelby GT500 to get Aluminum Block
Next special edition: 2012 Boss
Most of this makes sense based on what I've been hearing, including the test at Gingerman Raceway. Two mules were photographed there and were running blistering times.

Yeah Im hearing lots of talk about the new 400hp 5.0 for the GT's. The Brembo brakes is a really nice touch for the track pack, however I see a pretty high price tag on that one.

i am digging the bremos as a factory option on the new challenger cause they actually but them on all four corners where as the GT500, and Roush mustang leave the stock rear brakes. i know they do very little, but it still looks bad in comparison when you look from the fronts to the rears.
Boss: Better handling car(out handle Track Pack 2 with ease) will be high power N/A in between GT and GT500. Pricing close to that of GT500(optioned out to about 47) but that is fine since it plays to a different audience. Production number less than GT500. Styling will not see a radical change as from GT to GT500 but will be fairly noticeable even to those not engulfed in the world of cars.
I have said nothing.
Is it worth the wait?
Let's just say I will be purchasing more that one toy in the coming years.

The 5.0L/4v will be stronger across the powerband than any 4.6 predecessor. I've been hearing 440-450hp at the crank on 93 octane with just a tune for the 5.0L/4v.
A little more info floating around

It sounds like one superior ride is coming out next year. certainly gonna blow Camaro out of the water. If the price doesn't change I may consider trading back for a 5.0 though I think Im gonna be quite happy with my 4.6 at least on the gas mileage side haha.
What the hell is with Motortrend btw. They match up Mustang GT with a Camaro SS and run a 0-60 in 5.6 second and the Camaro at 4.6 seconds... Did the tester have a stroke at the wheel behind the GT? Damn Motortrend, I know they favor GM to hell but make it believable... My grandma can take my GT to 60 in under 5.3
Buh but this 2011 definitely below 5 and below 13.5, can't wait to see it!
Did anyone happen to see/hear if it's getting forged internals or not? That would certainly be nice if it did, then you wouldn't have to worry about pushing it too far. 450 hp at the crank with a tune is already quite a bit of power.

I have seen other posts where it is the M3 that weighs more than the Mustang. I hope that is the case. There is no reason the new 5.0 can't be lighter than the current 4.6 and the 6 speed could be very similar in weight to the outgoing 5 speed. I bet a new GT premium with Brembo equipped track pack will sticker for around $37k. That is getting up there.

That's assuming GM isn't going to upgrade the Camaro too. There's plenty of room in everyone's tuning to play the catch-up game for years. The question will be how hard the CAFE standards and fuel prices affect the horsepower game in the next few years.
I'd be willing to bet that an EcoBoost V6 becomes a viable option for a base GT in the future. V8 vehicles will have to start becoming scarce in production or rely on mild-hybrid systems to compete for viability in the future.
do you think ford will make crate engines of the 5-ohhh? they started making 3v 4.6 crates shortly after 06....id like to take the new 5.0 and ALL the new options and toss 'em into a fox (i cant be the only one)
also, if they did start making 5.0 turn-key crate engines, i would no longer have 'buyers remorse' with my '10 gt...(awesome car, but i wish i had waited for 5.0)

That's something I have been debating myself. Buy a new Stang, or wait for a 5.0 crate built by MMR or Livernois. If I stick with the current stang I'll eventually have to do something about internals anyway, so buying a 5.0 is certainly a viable option.

I believe they already offer this. The 5.0 "Cammer" dont know if its the same or not

I too am waiting to see what the new 5.0 is gonna be like. If its got forged internals there is a good chance I trade in my 05 and get the new 2011 since adding a blower to this is all I would have to do to make the power I want. But it its got the same weak rods I may just stick with my 05 and like the above guy get a 298 or 302 forged stroker and add more boost from my blower. Decision, decisions, decisions.
If you can get a 2011 with a 5.0 and it has better internals along with a dealer installed supercharger it would be very hard for me to say no. But then again I want 700 flywheel hp so it may be much more cost effective for me to keep the 05.
