Default Anyone here have the 3.55 gears?

Just curious how they perform. I "might" be getting a different stang than the one I ordered, but this one has the 3.55 gears instead of the 3.73.

Is the 3.55 axle a dog or does it have some decent power? I mean from a normal driving standpoint. I wanted the 3.73 gears, but I might be able to get a stang sooner, and well, while I admit that the feeling of that acceleration is nice with the 3.73's, it's something that I can live without if it means that I can get into a stang sooner. I just dont want to drive the car and when I step on the gas, the car just bogs out or takes forever to accelerate.

I don't think i'll be tracking this car so for me, as long as it has some decent get up and go, then that's fine with me.

So, for those who have one, or those that might know...what do you think?

I tried to get 3.55s but settled for the 3.31s Now I got what I settled for. I would wait for what I want because you will have what you didn't want for a lot longer than you had to wait for what you do want.

The difference between 3.55s and 3.73s isn't going to be significant.

I had the 3.55's in my '05' and didn't mind them at all. Most of the driving was on the interstate, 400 miles a week, and got 24-28 mpg with it.

i believe the 3.73 will only compliment the track packs.

The dealer said he could but the 3.55s in for 900. Bleh. I'll wait to do a monster job with 3.73's from 3.31s.

I have them in mine. No problem with the pull off the line.
