Default Mods for a 2010 Mustang GT

Hey dudes, I have one on the way, only 1 available on the lots in Canada. Grabber blue with premium charcoal-blue int, auto, hid's, nav, glass roof, 19" machined black wheels, and all the standard full load items, it's missing nothing. I'm adding keyless entry, remote start, dual dvd headrests for the kids. I'm thinking about black side stripes, front-hood-rear racing stripes, not sure about fake cowling and fake side air ducts and rear vent shades, I'm open for pics of the different combinations.

I have two options for performance, to stick with 87 octane since that's all I have at work, or jump right into a blower option, off road x-pipe to eliminate the cats, and use the lead supreme 130 additive to create 93-96 octane fuel out of 87.

What kind of 0-60 and 1/4 mile times would I get with a 3% shorter 255/40-19, intake, 87 octane sct tune (already have a tuner from my supercrew I can program for the GT), and axle back. X-pipe is optional, but I don't want droning, will be cruising with the kids. And, the second option, Ford's 475hp roush blower, maybe a procharger (love the sound and the near 0% parasitic loss when cruising), with an x-pipe, axle back, 93 octane tune running on the 87-LS130 mixed fuel. Again the shorter and grippier tires. Please share pics if they're out there, thanks amigos!

Mike.

Grats on your new car!

Im not big on cosmetic mods so i wont comment on those. I like a "sleeper" look

As far as performance, a supercharger (or turbo is another option as well, and theyre more efficient) is your best bang for your buck. Its a lot more to drop at once than anything else, but if you can afford it go for it!

As far as exhaust, an X pipe will give you very little gains over an H pipe. If youre worried about sound, just leave it alone. Same with mufflers. They are purely a sound mod. The only part of the exhaust that will give you any noticeable gain is long tubes.

BTW im pretty sure Ford's supercharger package includes a Whipple, not a Rousch.

Thanks eh!!! (Canadian, required by law to add that in once every 3-5 posts). I also prefer the clean lines, lots of push by the shop to add the scoop and louvers, IMO they're decor and not needed, and probly add wind noise at the same time, what I can guess anyway. Regarding the striping, it is coming with nothing, so I'll be able to see in person and go from there.

Gotchya on the exhaust, the x-pipe would be needed if I'm adding a blower, the lead additive will foul cats so they have to come out. I would like at least replace them with a resonator maybe to help with the drone, that can also be done. I have a welder and stainless rods to fab that together.

Whipple, the Roush was a guess on my part seeing so many Roush GT's lately on line and the Foose F150.

I do know the best bang for the buck is the FI, I can afford it, I'm just curious how much a difference the few minor mods will do for me. Nothing more I'd like is to run in the 11's with some descent tires and suspension upgrades of couse. The dealer is also pricing out Ford's springs, struts, sway bars, and x-members. Thanks again EH!!!

Hoseclamp,
Congrats on the 2010. The grabber blue is a real head turner. Wish I was able to to remove the cats on all my cars, state emissions won't allow it. Post some pics when you get it.
