Hey guys, I am the new owner of a 2010 Mustang GT Premium. I had to have one. I was having some issues with my 99' GT Vert and I thought if I could get a good deal I would go ahead and pick one up, so I did!
It's Grabber Blue, which I just love. Reminds me of the 70's stangs. The sticker was 34,750 and I argued 19% off the sticker price which came out to like 28 grand and some change and they financed me for 5.08% interest..... Just wondering what you guys think of the deal.
Also, I am 26 years old and my insurance cost is only 102$ per month.
All in all, I love it! it is SOOOOOOO much quicker than my 99 and I have not even hit WOT yet! (only 250 miles drivin so far, so no WOT till the 1000 mile breakin period is over) And I know the base housing is'nt that pretty but when someone hands you a free lease on a house how can you Bi!@h!
Again, I love the car! just looking for some thoughts.....
EDIT: Also, it does'nt say if I have a limted slip rear axel or not? Any thoughts on this? I know my old one had it! Seems wierd that this one would not have it........
Welsome, and sound slike you did get a good deal. Any interest in the 5-range is not too shabby at all. And you talked them below sticker whic I never pay sticker for anyway. I myself bought an 09 GT this year, and I got it for seven thousand below sticker. Right now they are not gonna come down on the 2010's that drasticaLLY, So yeah, you got a good deal. Insurance is not too bad either. Noticed you were in military, like myself, did you check with USAA for insurance? They are great! By the way, your base housing is not that bad, mine was way worse when I hawaiii (Army)
Yeah I was surprised they kept coming down. I kept refusing the offers they were giving me, till we kind of came to a standstill. I don't think they where going to come down anymore, or much more.
I use progressive for the insurance, USAA can't touch progressive. I guess it';s cause I have had them for over 5 years, no tickets, great credit, two vehicles, etc....my rates are LOW. my 99 GT was 65$ a month for the same coverages...broad form collision and all.
I have to go to work, i'm doing some volunteer things so I will be back around later. Thanks again!

FYI, Progressive quoted me $1000/year more than AIG-> Centure 21 -> and now Farmers. Some one is paying for those TV ads.
Or put it another way, I am Fully insuring my 08 GT, and a 2001 ranger for myself and the wife for less than what your paying. You may want to shop around some more.
Nice deal on the 2010 with great interest rate. Especially if its fixed.

Very nice and the color is awesome. That grabber blue is definitely sexy.
The price is great and the interest rate. Insurance is good too. I have USAA and they are better than any insurance but i've been with them for 6 years and I think that makes a difference with any insurance company. With the Cobra and 4runner, full coverage and 250 deductible, i pay 100 a month. I know when i was 24 with the 95GT and 03 Lightning, i was pay'n 150 a month with geico and had several speeding tickets.
Again, sweet ride

Thanks for the compliments on the ride fellas! I love it....I just can't get over how cool the car is! 2oo5GT I originally wanted a 03-04 Cobra, but the new stangs caught my eye so much, I had to have one.... Only options I would like that I do not have are Sat Nav, Shaker 1000 and Glass roof. But shoot, I was looking at 6+ Thousand more......and this car is expensive enough as it is...despite the great deal and interest rate I got.
As far as insurance goes...Well, I am from Michigan and new to Louisiana. I had originally got a quote for Shreveport, not knowing what the zip code of the base was. big mistake. I called around, and it turns out Progressive is the cheapest still, but damn I did not realize that having a AFB address would give me such a deal. They quoted me 618 for 6 months Vs. 913 is what I am paying now!!!! 300 bucks or 33% less! I flipped.
I also chose to enroll in a "Myrate Plan". What it is, basically is a little sensor that plugs into the OBDII port on the vehicle and it tracks acceleration, deceleration, miles drivin and time of day drivin. If I drive easy, I get up to a 25% discount on top of what I pay now. If I drive hard, it can raise permiums up to 9%. Well for my wife, I know it's not an issue. She only puts about 5K/Miles a year on her vehicle. I put a few more on, but not many more. Also, I play the MPG game most of the time anyway. The rep said that it has to be plugged into the vehicle 95% of the time or they deactivate it and I pay regular insurance rates (of which he said they keep NO data recorded from the program to rate me on). Basically, if I wanna drag it out with someone. I can unplug it real quick and plug it back in when I am finished racing. I asked the rep if I would screw it up doing this becuase I have a computer that I like to plug into the same port to check things out with the way the engine is running so I may unplug and plug the unit back in frequently and he said it's ok as long as I understand that In a 6 month period, I can have it unplugged for up to 9 days (5% of the time) before I have an issue. I guess it's incase your battery dies or you need service.
The unit's not GPS so they do not track your vehicle or if you are speeding. Just the items listed above. I guess it sends text messages to the HQ at Progressive.
I thought about it, and decided to enroll notonly because of the discount, but also because after 30 days it starts a floating rate and driving profile for you on their website. So you can see how they feel you drive, and also check your premium to see if you are getting a better deal with, or without the device. Check out the link below.....
I am seventeen years old and I just starting driving. With my '10 Mustang V6 the insurance company is raping me lol. But with any car they have me paying alot of $$$
Sounds like a very good deal. As for the insurance, I'm glad I'm old . I pay $450/yr with USAA.
I just wrote the check out for ours. I'm 31 and paying $357 a year for the Mustang with the multi-car, multi-policy, pleasure vehicle, less than 8,500 miles a year, good driver discount. And that's for comp, collison and liability.
I love living in PA! When I lived in NJ, I paid $1,200 a year for my beater pickup truck. Now we pay $842 a year for three vehicles.
