2010 GT 5-Speed Vs. 2010 Carmaro SS Auto

Soooooooooo whatcha guys think?

Went to see about having my windows tinted and this lady in a 10' Camaro SS would not shut up about how fast her car was and all that.......

Let's assume the 5-Speed has a good driver that can launch, red-line and shift fast/properly and let's assume the camaro guy with the auto knows how to floor it....

Would I stand a chance at winning or hanging on?

I think that you would be able to hang on for a very long time, maybe even be neck at neck in the beginning

Stock for stock, i think it would be a close race due to the Camaro weighing more. The L99 in the auto is 400HP vs's the GT's 315HP. Off the line the auto could take it.

I would guess some chick with a Camaro probably don't know how to drive it, with a stick you can probably get her unless you race very far. She'll kill you on the top end, try her from stoplight to stoplight, practice launching and get it perfect before you try. You stand a good chance, at least you'll scare her into shutting up every time she sees a 'Stang!
