Default 2010 v6 premium grill painting?

I am currently "blacking out" my new 2010 v6 and am thinking of painting and clearcoating upper and lower grill, fog light housing and lower front lip. Are there any issues I should consider with the type of plastic I want to paint. Ultimately, I want a "blacker" look. Thanks for your thoughts!

Preperation is 90% of it. Make sure it is clean, and scuff it up good- paying special attention to the hard to get areas. I would also recommend looking online at paint supply places for "Bulldog". It is a clear (and smelly) chemical that etches the plastic to assure good adhesion. You simply mist a light coat of it on, wait about 10 minutes, then paint it.

What color is the grille now? Black, right?

Yes; black. Thanks for the recommendation. I went ahead and painted the pony black and it looks great. I'm going to sleep on painting the grill to make sure I want to go there!
