Fuel tank pressure sensor replacement, any options?

Looking for any insights / experiences here; 2012 Mustang GT.
Have a price of $607 CAD for a "Fuel vapor tube assembly" part DR3Z-9E325-A to address a P0451 code. Garage verified part fault (i.e., not a loose wire, etc).
Wondering if any one has been able to find less costly ways to replace just the sensor itself, leaving the original tube assembly. Especially if anyone has tried the Dorman 911 260 Fuel Pressure Sensor ($121 CAD) route (see the Dorman site for OE cross-reference, video, install information).
Sharing also as there are comments on rust-proofing and this topic; this car gets parked in the winter, Krown oil-spray annually, could be a factor here (no issues since 2011, till now).

I'd try the Dorman route to save the money, but not if it's detrimental or ill-advised. Seems a shame not to consider options here.
Appreciate any comments or insights, please.
