I just got finished installing the JLT Oil Catch Can on my 2011 GT. The fit and finish of this piece is awesome. The guys at JLT used Ford OEM hoses and connectors and put their top-quality billet catch can in between.
I think they did a great job on them. They are also available in black anodized if you prefer that look. The installation takes no time at all. I had to remove my TSB to get the engine cover off, but if you don't have a TSB it's literally a 1 minute install. Otherwise, it is a 3 minute install.
They make great products, too. It's not like this is a true "performance" mod. It's a catch can. As long as it does what it's supposed to and keeps that crud out of my intake, I'll be happy regardless of who makes it.
Just so you know, I bought the UPR one too but ended up not using it and went with the JLT. The hoses UPR send with the can are heater hoses. Heater hose is clearly labeled not for use with oil or fuel and they can collapse when heated and used in a vacuum line -they are meant to keep pressure in and not expand, they aren't designed to be used with vacuum systems such as the PCV. I don't know why UPR sends these.
I was going to just replace the hose with fuel hose since I really liked the UPR can but could not for the life of me locate any 5/8" fuel hose at the 10+ local parts stores in my area. The JLT can, although much smaller, uses proper hoses and fittings from Ford.
@jsnyng - That can looks great! Those painted valve cover's look great too! Did you notice any metal shavings inside your catch can when you first got it from JLT? When I got mine there were quite a bit of shavings left in the threads of the lid and the can, it took a while to get them all out -don't want metal shavings going back into my 5.0!
05horse- The Ford hoses from JLT are pre-bent metal hoses, are you able to get the OEM hoses pre-bent for the UPR or will you bend them yourself? Also, are you planning on getting new can-to-hose fittings for the UPR? I ask because if I can get the same hoses then I'd like to use my UPR can that's basically useless to me right now. It's actually a much nicer and larger can. Any info you can offer on how/where to get these hoses and fittings would be very helpful to me, thanks!

take your OEM PCV valve hose, position the catch can in the middle area.
cut the hose where needed, put the hose over the barbs on the catch can, hit it with a heat gun. they will get on super tight. and stay
PERFECT! I really don't know why I didn't think about that myself. That's probably the simplest and most effective way to connect that can. I kind of feel dumb now for asking, oh well, that's why these forums are here I guess.
jsnyng, That looks great. I was just thinking about ordering one. where did you get yours? JLT or another vendor?....BTW you've got your car looking awesome!!!.....I like it w/o stripes and the new wheels......nice coil covers too, I painted mine a few weeks back too
