I have an AED tune that includes the lope tune. Really, it is a novelty. Shaun has perfected it but I rarely ever load it up. It just feels wrong in a car like this to have a rocking idle. LOL.

2012 Mustang GT M6, tuned by AED. 11.79 @ 116.26 with 3.31 gears.

frankly speaking Ive had lund cammed tune, it was amazing but drivability is a big hit. Its hard to drive in here because of all stop lights and traffic.

I am a bit biased, but some are better than others, especially in the driveability department. Due to the way the lopey idle is achieved a small decrease in very low rpm power is normal, but if it is enough to be a problem in traffic the tune likely needs to be revised or may be setup for a different combo.

In regards to safe tunes, I don't think you can go wrong with a Steeda cam tune. It is almost identical to our non-cam idle tune except for the lopey sound at idle. Our tunes are conservative and as such are safer than some of the other choices out there.

Let me know if I can help you with anything.

What do you mean by more conservative, i've heard that steeda cammed tunes are not as loud as others, it that true?
Is it ok to change tunes/tuners on my car because its already tuned.

I'm beginning to wonder if some people on the forum are actually dating this guy called Shaun or not.

So you DO offer the cammed idle tune?

I just don't "get" why folks want to lose 2-3 mpg, and deal with drivability issues for a lopey-tune.

I admit that there's nothing like the sound of a lopey cam.

But, at best, the "new" 5.0 sounds NOTHING like my 'old school daze' with me and my buddies running headers, intakes, heads, cams and spending MANY thousands of $$$$ just to get into the 13's! LOL!

It doesn't even 'sound' as good as the modular 4.6's IMO, to say nothing of my push-rod '93 5.0.

Although I LOVE my new coyote 5.0, there's almost nothing you can do to it (other than GT500 axle-backs) that will give it that "sound" IMO.

You can't go wrong with the tunes we offer. We've been offering the cammed tunes from Lund Racing longer than any other cammed tune has been on the market.

While our tunes continued to evolve over the last few years the others are finally figuring it out. The decision is yours.

Let us know if you have any other questions.

Thanks, Jared

"That sound" is created by not only by the engine and exhaust, but the shape of the exhaust system determines the sound as well, that's why a Coyote in a Fox sounds quite like a Fox. As far as gas mileage there shouldn't be much if any difference if the tune is a good one.

Times have changed my friend, back then 13's was really moving, now its V6 territory. Makes me wonder what it'll be like in another 15 or 20 years...
