shelby redline wheels - advice/thoughts/comments?

OK, I think I finally made my mind up.

18x9 w/40mm offset all four corners and running stock rubber for a lttle while.

Anybody running these wheels?
These should be a direct fit correct?

Just want to make sure I am not making a mistake - hate buying something like this on line. Always afraid I will screw something up.

I kinda had the similar wheels on my GT500. They were eleanor replicas 20x9 and 20x10 in chrome. I loved those rims. Fit the car perfectly. who are you getting them from? have you thought about 20's?

08 GT Hurst Shifter, Fidanza clutch, JLT CAI, Kooks Longtubes and O/R X, BBR tune, SSS Terminator mufflers, M80 mufflers, Eibach pro kit, Eibach struts and shocks, Asanti AF 135 rims, 295/35/20 rear tires More to come!

I personally can't stand the look of 20's on a Mustang, looks like it is trying to be too hip and eventually failing. I think the 18's fit perfectly.

I tend to like larger wheels (I have 20s on mine), but I actually prefer the 18"s in those pictures. Mainly because they have more tire.

For me, the best wheels on the 11's Mustangs are the 20' Supersnake ones, and the ones I have on my GT/CS, which are 19', but everyone is different, to each it's own.

The Super Snakes are certainly nice, their weight and cost are what is keeping me away from them.

That's why it's a personal thing. IMO the wheel wells on these cars are too large asthetically for anything under 19". I struggled between going with 19" or 20" aftermarket wheels but ultimately stuck with 19" as it's a better size if you are tracking the car.

I would have to disagree about tracking the car with 19's not because of any physics but because of a limited choice of tires.

And of course the asthetic side of wheel choice is personal and I would never even think of disrespecting someone. I do like the Super Snakes afterall.

Never noticed it until just now, but the super snakes look a LOT like the brembo's, just a little more spread out and a little lighter on finish. Kinda weird how super snakes have almost-universal appeal but the brembo's are so polarizing... weird. Personally I don't like the OP's wheel selection, but 18's can look good when lowered a tad. Best of luck.

gonna do a 1" drop eventually - mainly picked redlines because they look like some of the older style wheels

I personally do not care for the snakes or magnums (like them at first)

cost keeps me away from the 20's for now
