Launch from Parking Garage

Found this link on another site...

20 Minuten Online - Mustang donnert aus dem dritten Stock - Kreuz und Quer

English summary version - Mustang is parked on the 4th floor (3rd floor above the ground floor) of a big Swiss parking garage. The 24 year old driver launches it into space by mistakenly punching the gas on the automatic-transmission car. Here are the results of the 45 foot drop:

However, there is a silver lining to this dark cloud: not only did our intrepid Mustang pilot not get badly hurt,
he succeeded in obliterating three parked mopeds in the process:

I give him a 9. He would have rated a 10, had he munched a Genesis, Camaro, or Challenger.

"The fast sled broke through in the third parking garage and a concrete wall fell from a height of around 15 meters to the moped parking underneath. It suffered not only the Mustang a total loss, including three scooters were smashed by a falling piece of concrete wall" dumb driver but atleast we know its got power!

The North American P-51 Mustang needs 3200 ft for a successful take off attempt.

Should have put a can of red bull in the tank first.

At least we now know that we can drive off of a roof and survive.

I wonder if it landed ass end first? I don't see how the back would be so damaged otherwise. The front was probably crunched on the way out of the garage.

And yeah, definitely good to know that I can survive if I ever need to drive off a roof!

The important thing here is that the driver survived with minor injuries. A stupid mistake to be sure, but I can see how it could happen.

And to be fair, there are lots of vehicles that would have done the same thing if you spiked the gas into one of those thin walls. Mistakes happen I guess, but this is far more fun to look at than most!

I must say that the pedals on the autos are a little too close to each other for comfort (slippery too on the base models) -Could be a carry over from MT models? (easier heel&toe).

I can imagine how a driver with big feet and possibly unfamiliar to the car and a touch inebriated might've easily done this unintentionally. Auto models owners should take note.
