Incorrect. Z encompasses many real ratings....... W, Y, and (Y). Most cheap crapo "Z" rated tires are actually rated "W" which is up to 168 MPH. Y is up to 186, and (Y) is over 186. Our Pirellis are Y rated... So this car is far from being limited by its tires...

I was waiting for someone to give the REAL story about the infamous "Z" Marker on many of the new sneakers that even "Semi-Performance" cars are wearing today!.........Back in the day (Late '80s to early '90s) The 8 cylinder Stangs, and both the GM F body cars (Camaro+Trans
-AM) were wearing "V" Rated Goodyear "Eagle Gatorbacks"!! and they were rated up to 149 MPH!...MOST of the Semi-Performance Rigs were sporting the "HR" Rating, which was good for 130 MPH! Back then only the Supercars were sporting True "Z" Rated sneakers ie. Ferraris, Lambos, and the ZR-1 DOHC Corvettes, NASCAR's and the Indy cars.....Back then the Z rating mean't that that Tire could go up to, and most of the time Over 186 MPH For the supposed 24 Hours Without a catastrophic failure!!......Now the "Z" in the ZR means that the tire with those letters before the tire size is Rated for at least the so called 149 MPH (For the 24-HR Certifacation),but you have to refer to the additional letter for the "True" 24-HR continuous maximum safe speed.........In other words, most tire manufacturers nowadays don't even bother making tires that are not certified for at least 149MPH........You rarely see tires with the older R, S, T, U, or even the H or V ratings...............Moral of this story
