Added the Roush Splitter to my 2013 Mustang - Pics & Review included

Santa Claus came early this year and gifted me a new Roush splitter for my 13 Mustang. I think its the best looking splitter on the market right now. Very clean looking.
Anyway I got around to installing it yesterday and thought Id include some insight to the install. I never read the Roush directions, as I only watched the CJ Pony Parts install video on youtube. They did an impressive job and I recommend you do the same when it comes to watching how to install. I used a dremel with a cut-off wheel instead of what they asked for in the video and had ramps to get the front off the ground.
To review the splitter I think Roush should plastic wrap it before shipping, as there was a light scratch on a corner after removal. Utilizing the stock splitter definitely complicates things for inexperienced modifiers, but is doable. Overall, Im very happy.

Couple of tips:

1. Take your time
2. Pay attention when reinstalling
3. Get a power drill with a 7mm and 8mm socket end (itll speed things up big time)
4. When trimming your factory splitter, make the cut-off ends flush with the bottom piece.
5. Garment measuring tape will give you the best 18.5" measurement.

Before pics:

After pics (I drove through fog on the way to work, hence the weird coloring on the splitter):

Looks good i almost bought this splitter but ended up paying a little more for a stillen gen 1 with turn buckles. Its a urathane material i believe. Very heavy duty. I went to a ford dealer and had they had a v6 roush 2013 bit after looking at the splitter kit nd touching it. I was disappointed on how cheap looking it felt. I was pissed when i got the side splitters as well. Looked flimsy. Long story short i returned them because i was missing a side. Asked for refund but they sent out replacement. Opened the box and they looked and felt more heavy duty? So i installed them. Next mod to think about is maybe plasti dip the chrome grille surround. Leave the horse emblem chrome.

Thanks! Next up is a new grille. I hate the chrome surround.

Prorider, how much lower is the Roush splitter compared to the stock one? I should get my Roush splitter in on Monday.

Does the splitter feel cheap to you in any way? Or flimsy?

I called Roush after installing mine, to make sure I did it correctly. They checked several cars they had at Roush and they felt the same.

I'm not crazy about how it flexes so easy. But its secure and doesn't seem like its a problem.

Its a temp fix until I can get the home office to approve the Laguna Sega version. LOL.

Be glad that it flexes because you will be thankful when you nudge a curb or parking stop. Love those Nitto tires too on your GT500 wheels. Nice!

Yeah got mine today. Saw on American Muscle site that someone just took off the factory splitter and used some of the same bolt holes to fasten the Roush splitter. Then they just drilled the other holes while the splitter was installed and lined up. Looks great!
