I personally like the r/t and GT.

that is true...im coming from a challenger and the only thing i thinknit has on the mustang is the tranny and irs...other then that its drab interior fading dated look and retarded 40 year old motor design, just doesnt cut it and thus why im switching...BUT you do get a ton of features for your money, more room and a look a ton of people still like.
oh just be aware due to dodge being jack asses and completely ignoring the performance crowd, options for parts are limited and dodge does not support that crowd...deal breaker for some and to others doesnt mean anything.
good luck with your r/t..id suggest a used srt at the least, but a 392 is the way to go... ;-)

Who cares, unless you want to drive a 4000 pound tank you don't want a Challenger. I came close to buying a R/T Classic since they do look cool. But it was fu*king huge, heavy, and slow. Plus the interior looks like it was pulled out of a POS Caliber.
I guess I should have done my homework first before posting. I see now that the base Challenger V8 is $29,995 MSRP and the base Mustang GT is $30,300. I just know a typically equipped Challenger vs. a typically equipped GT is normally much higher.

I considered a Challenger before I bought my '13 GT. To get comparable performance with the 5.0, you need to get an SRT. That's $40K+ and the gas mileage sucks.
I like the looks a lot and have no prejudice to Mopar. Did NOT consider the Camaro at all. Screw GM!
