I got rid of that stupid spring a long time ago. The clutch pedal is a little stiffer with the spring removed but that's not a bad thing. The pedal effort was way too light with it installed and I could feel the spring cam over every time I depressed and released the clutch pedal.

Going for a quick drive now to see if i can replicate the sticky clutch.

The three pieces that came off (spring, white & black piece) are no longer needed correct? And since there will be more play at the top of the clutch does that mean that the clutch travel will be shortened?

Yeah they aren't needed. And no the clutch travel is still the same, it just doesn't have the spring pushing it down a little bit at the top of the travel.

Removal done. Shifted at 7000rpm and no sticking to the floor. Also a added benefit, it's feels better on normal driving. Easier to start also. A recommended mod to all MT82 owners. Next the clutch line, already ordered.

When you say easier to start do you mean the pedal doesn't have to go the whole way to the floor. Always seems like if my pedal doesn't make contact with the floor it's not going to start.

I've done a few track days over the summer and will tell you that removing the spring isn't a cure-all. I removed the spring a long time ago but over the summer I did notice that on occasion the pedal still sticks to the floor at 7000 rpm. Since I'm not drag racing for every last tenth of a second I just shift a bit slower and let the engine drop 500 rpm or so. Either way, that spring is ridiculous and the pedal feels ten times better without it installed.

Look at your pedal springs. See if you have 2 or 3 springs. 1 return spring on brake and the helper spring on the clutch.

I installed a gt500 pedal assy to get the clutch return spring. I remove the helper spring on this one too.

Removing the helper spring helps but does not stop it. High flow clutch line removing helper gt500 pedal assy and its gone for me. It gets soft but doesn't peg to the floor now.

Get a proper bleed of the clutch brake system first before you do anything else. I have a theory the are coming from the factory not bled completely. It must be done with a vacuum to get it right.

Not sure if this issue is related or not, but sometimes when I'm doing some spirited driving, and am taching high (3k+) for an extended period of time (4+ seconds), the clutch pedal becomes stiffer and harder to depress. Does anyone else notice that also?

The spring removal did not stop my clutch from sticking to the floor.FWIW this only started happening after my CAI and Tune, Higher rpm shift points. So I turned it down to redline 6900 rpms, I had no issues at all, I do not drive the car to much, so next time I get out Will raise it to 7000 and see what happens.
