Front License plate mount

So I just traded in my 2011 v6 for a 2014 GT. I need a front license plate since I live in Illinois and I was wondering what the best options were for removable ones/the fold under ones. Thanks

I just bought a new 5.0 and have the same situation here in NY. These threads might help:

I live in Illinois too and I run no front plate. Everyone in my house doesn't have a front plate and we've never had an issue, even when parking on the streets of Chicago. If you really do want to run a plate, I know AM sells a foldable one.

To me, the AM fold under one wasn't of the best quality. I ended up going w/ a Craig's Custom bracket and throwing the AM in the trash. Worked great! Until yesterday when I installed an upper and lower grill, now it's useless. Guess I'm going w/out a front plate now. I would sell mine if anybody is interested.

I bought a no-drill bracket from these guys in April and I'm pretty satisfied with the quality so far. Goes on in about 5 minutes (well 8 minutes for me, since I put it on off-center the first time), seems sturdy, and it does not seem like it will damage the paint on the bumper.

Service was quick and good too. I figure the best thing I can do to thank them is tell you guys!

My 2013 Brembo GT occasionally scrapes the front splitter on steep driveways and deep intersection culverts. Wouldn't these "mount from underneath" brackets be at risk for damage in these situations?

I've run without a front plate for exactly one year here in California...until last week when I got a ticket in my favorite golf course parking lot. They have had a lot of break-ins so they get periodic sheriff patrols. Pressed for time before my next golf outing, I installed the factory bracket on the front bumper. I was surprised that there is nothing solid behind the bumper cover. It just screws into the relatively thin plastic.

It clamps underneath the bottom of the upper bumper

I've been using the Craig's bracket for 3 years on my 11'. No complaints.

Well, us V6 owners can scratch off this option.

As it stands right now, I will not offer a bracket for the 2013-14 V-6 and Boss Laguna Seca Model Mustangs.
