Time for the build.

Swore I wasn't going to sell my truck when I bought the Mustang but I have an offer I can't refuse on my truck, (from my nephew and I am losing my ass but he is a great kid). Looks like my build will start a little sooner than I thought.

Now I just need some time off from work so I will be home long enough to actually work on it.

Going to do the supporting mods first then after I get a few thousand miles I am leaning towards the Roush tvs or a Twin turbo setup. The truck made a few magazines and Hopefully I can do the same with the Mustang.

Time to order parts. Hope I can live up to some of the stuff I have seen built here.

Stay tuned.

2014 Ruby Red GT. Brembo's, Recaro's, 3:73's, FRPP p springs, Airaid CAI, GT 500 axlebacks., tuned by ID-motorsports.com, BBR Billet lower control arms, BMR relocation brackets, BMR adjustable Panhard bar, AMR silver wheels with 255 on the fronts/285's on the rear. more to come.

The red 250 is the one I am selling/sold. Daily driven 581/999tq at the wheels. It was in Diesel power Magazine in 2009 i believe, maybe 2008.

This was my last build that i grew to hate more than it hated me but it was 1000+hp twin turbo three stage notrous injected, smokey diesel while it lasted. Made it to Pinks all out in Houston in 2010 but wasn't chosen.

Just ordered the Ford Racing GT 500 AB's and Airaid CAI. They ahould be waiting for me when I get home Thursday. :hihi: I need to send my Sct sf3 off to SCT to get it unlocked and get my custom tunes headed this way. Once the Exhaust is in place I want to get a feel for the sound before I look at the mid pipe. Thinking of UPR x pipe. Any thoughts on their stuff?

The UPS man brought me my GT 500 axlebacks today and I must say they look and sound great. My CAI is also sitting in the garage but no tuner back from SCT yet so it stays.

Sorry for the duplicate post. I honestly forgot I had started a build thread.
Wheels get here today.

These should help with my traction issue.

Mounted and hard wired the radar detector too.

The good:

Wheels came in today. They look better than I thought they would. These are very nice looking wheels.
Here is one to compare vs the Brembo wheels color.

And the bad:

2 are damaged. I called AM and they are overnighting 2 new ones. Great customer service and thanks!

Rear tires are too short but they won't last long.

Just curious, how much did the rim weigh? The new wheels look awesome.

I didn't weigh them but many others have. They are definitely lighter than the stock Brembo wheels.

Here is off of AMRs posts:

Thanks. Did the LCA and new tires change the acceleration any? Any wheel hop with the new set up?

I have zero wheel hop. I still don't really have much more traction. Might be the cooler temps and the tires. They are pretty good after you get them good and hot but I can't exactly start out with a good burnout every day. When they do hook up its very noticeable.

I have a buddy who is probably the best suspension tuning in the industry. I am going to ask him for some help. If he can't tell me how to get traction, no one can.
