Added pair of 6X9's for more punch...

Some trial and error ended up with this...I found a great deal on a pair of JBL's (100 watt RMS, 300 watt peak)they sound unbelievable!! Tapped off channels 3 & 4 and put through an Alpine amp. Alot of curves and undulations to that panel but I made it work.

Some MDF, fiberglass mat, fiberglass resin, a yard of that black material, upholstery glue and adhesive backed chrome trim

But does it look installed in the vehicle!? Thats actually nicely done. I know I couldnt do that.

Considering speakers are not installed here from Ford (except in a vert), especially 6X9's...I'm fairly happy with the results given this is my first, and likely last attempt at something like this. Just had to add some polyester baffling, adjust gain and crossovers a little...

Ford really should outfit these cars with a much better sound system. The shaker is not too terrible, but the base stereo is laughable...

Also discovering that a Blackberry phone takes brutal pictures!!!
