Our 3.7L named 'Cyclone'?

According to this post on TopGear:
New Ginetta G60 sportscar revealed - BBC Top Gear

The name for the 3.7L Ford engine is the 'Cyclone'. And according to this post:
2012 Ginetta G60 - Top Speed

It's the same engine that is in our Mustang, except rated at 310hp, not 305hp.

So, shall we start calling it the Cyclone? (Ford really liked their Cy's for this generation of engines!)

Cyclone is the internal Ford code name for the current version of the Duratec V6.

All of the versions are known as the Cyclone, the 3.5's and the 3.7's in all of the Ford motor company cars and trucks, just like the new 5.0 is known internally as the coyote.

In the other thread about this company, I have links posted about the 2011 Ginetta G55 with a naturally aspirated "Cyclone" 3.7l with 370 hp. That is the one that has my interest piqued. I want to know what has been done to this engine as it is a car available to the public.

Actually, the "cologne" V6 was named because of it's origin in Cologne Germany. It was, I believe, originally a 2.6 litre V6 back in the early to mid 1970's and was first used in the U.S. in the Capri. And over the years was developed and eventually evolved into the 4.0 in both pushrod and OHC versions.
