Setup I would like

I would be interested in seeing the dyno results, before and after, same day.

CAI.
BBK TB.
Accel Coil packs.
E3 Diamond fire plugs.
Full Bassani exhaust system, one pull without cats, one with high flow cats.
Oil separators/catch cans
93 Tune

2012 GT Premuim A/T Sterling Gray, Loaded, Tinted, Steeda 93 Tune, JLT Oil catch can, 12" MTX Sub, CHE LCA's, GT500's, Boss/CS Lower Fascia W/foglights.
2011 V6 M/T traded for 2012 GT
2007 GT M/T traded for CRV

The ignition stuff doesn't belong in there with the rest of the items. You can't gain power with ignition unless you're already losing it with the stock equipment.

A heck of an idea if we could get some suckers at a magazine to bankroll it!

I think that's a somewhat unique combination. You might get answers sooner if you get it done yourself.

As for just a CAI and tune, there are plenty of videos out there that show the gains for them. Check out American Muscle's videos for the v6 including their staged build videos that you can find on YouTube or their blog. If you're interested in Bassani you might want to PM solidhadriel, since he is probably most familiar with their products.

Oil separator does nothing for your power output, just keep things cleaner longer IMO. I think someone used new coils on an FId v6 and got 8hp, so expect much less or nothing for an NA application.

Jury is still out on the BBK TB. I'd be patient to see what independent results may surface.

Again, as I said 8hp on an FI setup. You're going to see less than 5hp if anything for an NA car. Better ways to spend your money IMO.

The only telling dyno results for that list would be if you tested each mod as they were added, doing it all at once would not tell which mod was worth anything and which wasn't.

Well, if you don't plan on going FI, every little bit helps.
I have followed and had PM's with solidhadriel, and I think the bassani is very good quality.

I have seen the vids on cai and tunes, just thought it would be interesting to see the ignition stuff.

The powerblock vid showes before and after dyno with the E3's

I wish I had the money to do it myself, and I may in the future.

Very true ! but I would not have the money for that many dyno runs

As for the oil separator, It's my understanding that under high RPM, the oil mist being sent back through to be burned, lowers your octane

If you're looking for the best proven gains: gears, tune, CAI. Beyond that you'd want a cat less xpipe and/or long tube headers if legal in your state. A driveshaft is also helpful. But after that you're looking at spending a lot of money for negligible gains. Don't get me wrong, I'd love some new coil packs but mainly for the bling or bragging rights, not the HP.

Ahh crap, I forgot i would like to see an aluminum fly wheel and DS as well. Gears were a givin, and didn't put them in. I will be adding 3.55's when i get my tax money back

We don't have emmissions where I live, but I wonder if cat less would reduce back pressure to much, but maybe not since the engine is high compression

What's interesting to me is if the gains on the BBK TB are consistent with other mods it can help compensate for shifting of the torque band caused by any of the exhaust mods.

That dyno is bull. Save your money!

See how on the "after" run it revs slightly higher with no other gains? thats the only spot where it made more power. a/f line and hp/tq both stop a little earlier on the first run. everywhere else on the curve is so close it doesnt matter.

Stock ignition is really, really good

BBK TB.
Accel Coil packs.
E3 Diamond fire plugs

why why why and the catch cans.... wasted money. If your going to stay NA just do a gear swap, intake, tune and full exhaust. No need for the other crap. To be honest it will probably hurt you if anything/

Nibis,

Seems like you have a pretty solid list put together. I see you're kind of back and forth trying to see what items are the most necessary. I just wanted to point out that I would definitely make sure you get a catch-can. You'll be really surprised how much oil your engine will bleed from the crank case to your intake manifold. A catch can is a nice way to pick up a few lost horsepower and extend the lift of your engine.

I would stay the stop items I would try and stick with are the 93octane tune, CAI, catch-can, full exhaust, Accel Coil packs, and BBK TB, in that order of importance or improvement.

Hope this helps!

Shane
