Question Info needed on a JLT CAI install

Yes i finally decided to bite the bullet and buy a CAI for my stang. I figured hell if i cant afford a 5.0 then im going to beef my 3.7 up to the max without FI. I got the JLT CAI and wanted to know if anyone has installed one before? Seems pretty simple except for the fact that i have a automatic and apparently you have to drill a hole in the side of the pipe if you have an auto -_-

Also if anyone has any lower and upper control arms, Aluminum driveshaft, or 3.73 gear for sale please let me know!

I have one on my Cobra, easy install, may require a "tune", but you know you need that anyways...right?

Yes you have to drill a fairly large whole, I forget maybe 3/4". I drilled mine a little small then reamed it out till the rubber grommet fit nicely.

And check the classifieds on this forum often. Sometimes you'll find a good deal on the parts you want.

If not you'll probably have to pull the radiator cover to retrieve the screws!

'OkieHick' is the forum CAI installation guru!

All kidding aside, the JLT CAI is a very simple install and doesn't require a tune. Have fun modding your 3.7 Mustang they are very fun cars!!

Installed mine last Saturday (though it's for a manual, no drilling of holes) and it was a quick and easy install, maybe 20 minutes tops start to finish. Instructions were clear, super easy to do.

It's very easy, I believe it is a 3/4" hole...I used a speed bit/bore bit too drill the hole. Just measure it out and mark the hole. The tube is very easy to go through, just remember to clean the hole up after drilling. You don't want small plastic bits, getting into your motor.

Install was pretty simple other than drilling the hole. Reasoning why is i have a tons of tools and every drill bit, EXCEPT FOR THE ONE I NEED! But i got it all worked out and got it on nice and snug. All i have to say for this CAI and my new tune from bama is wow this thing sounds and feels amazing.

The naysayers don't believe in them but they do work.

The naysayers say any performance increase you realize is because of the tune, not the CAI.

The naysayers make me laugh.

I have a CAI but no tune and I noticed a difference.
