The sync system on my 2013 mustang v6 is stuck. What I mean is when I put in a phone number I get the same number the number will not change. Is there a rest button or master reset, or must I take it to the dealer for warranty repair. T hanks.
I've not found the master reset very useful when sync locks up. Ether pull the fuse for the system, allegedly behind the right side kick panel but I can't find any fuses in there on my car. so I just disconnect the battery for a few minutes. It may also pay to delete the Bluetooth paring on both the phone and sync (assuming you have it working again) and reestablish a fresh pairing.
This. There is a fuse and it is behind the passenger kick panel. I forget which one it is but a quick Google search will answer that. I used to have to pull the fuse weekly. I put in a Kenwood DVD player and never looked back.
The master reset will set everything back to the factory default settings and the phone will need to be paired again. Before pairing the phone, power it down and restart it. Here are the instructions to pair the phone again: Pair your Phone with Ford SYNC | SYNC Help | Official Ford Owner Site
I had sync problems when the car was new. It was the phone, not the car.
