Since the corrosion has appeared twice, I think It's safe to assume it will come back a third time. I'd like to avoid going fiberglass (if only someone would offer a quality, OEM-style fiberglass hood!), so I've been doing some research. CAPA-certified, OEM-style hoods are manufactured by a company out of Taiwan called 'Tong Yang'. Ever heard of them? Me neither.
I'm wondering if anyone here has ever had an accident which required a new hood. And if so, did you go with a CAPA hood instead of OEM? And if so to that, how is it holding up? Basically, I'd like to know if 'Tong Yang' has better hood manufacturing practices in place than FoMoCo.
