Default Lowering the rear axle assembly

How much more can I expect the rear end axle assembly to drop if I detach the shocks and brake hoses. Trying to gain clearance to remove/replace over axle pipes. Thanks

I would unbolt the calipers instead of breaking the lines. That and removing the shock bolts should get you plenty of room.

If you unbolt the 10mm bolt holding the brake line and shocks you will get plenty of room to work. When you are finished take your rear springs out and slowly lower your car until the rear looks like it would be around ride height, maybe a little lower. You will be able to tell if your over axle pipes will hit the axle or not. Do not lower it too fast or too far.
