Bone stock 6m 2011 5.0, looking for a cat-back that will perform while staying as close to quite as the stock exhaust. Will consider all options, JBA, Flows, Pypes, GT 500 anyone who can help I appreciate it thanxs guys and Be safe out there, hell of a car to drive slow.
Are you looking to do catless with LTs or stay with the stock cats and headers? Either way, the Magnaflow street series is very tame sounding (maybe too much so with stock cats and headers) and with their straight through design they will flow more than you will ever need and will not drone at cruise under load like a chambered muffler tends to.
don't expect any noticeable performance increase; but the Magnaflow axle-backs had a great smooth deep tone on my 2010, about the same loudness as the stock exhaust but better tone, and I assume they would be similar on the 2011+ ; also zero drone
I am talking about the rectangular ones, not the round "magnapacks" that are quite a bit louder

The Maggy Streets are chambered mufflers. Not all chambered mufflers mean drone either. The GT500 axle backs are chambered.

I'm not sure which ones you are talking about, but 99.9% sure that is incorrect.
They are rectangular, but that does not mean they are chambered. I looked up mine with a flashlight and you can see that the pipe goes straight through, no chambers -- it just makes a little jog to go from one corner of the rectangle to the other. And I have seen posts from Magnaflow that say "all of our mufflers are straight through."
I cannot speak for other mufflers or other cars, but can tell you 100% for sure that there was absolutely zero drone with the rectangular Magnaflow mufflers on my 2010.

I'm just going by vendor info so yeah, that could be the case.

True, that I know. All of Borla's offerings are straight through but still use true mufflers, not resonators like the Magnaflow Comps.

As these forum replies the topic has been lost, I origanly asked witch was the quietest of the performance cat-backs ? Now if I can still get the gains with the stock ressys then so be it, not a concern to cut them off, most likely will no matter what. Don't care about the gas mileage it would fall to like u have said why drive the stang if that was ur concern? Thanx all keep the discussion going, putting up a new thread now about tire/wheel choice.

The magnaflow streets are not chambered. And yes huge hybrid (mix of chambered and turbo style) mufflers like the stockers or the gt500s do not drone but if you run a smaller chambered muffler it will have a lot more drone than a comparatively sized straight through muffler.

If you want a full catback the magnaflow street series is about as quiet as they get but you could just delete your stock resonators and keep the factory mufflers if cost is a factor.
