There is no comparison to my car and current cars. I have Ford Racing Axlebacks which are totally round and narrow.
My car has no resonators, new cars do I believe.
Those GT500s seem cheap at $310.
What is the difference between them and the Sport mufflers by Ford Racing, which look the same, yet are $700. ?? Only difference I can see is chrome tips.
Since the newer cars have resonators, I'd think one would either have to remove them OR get really noisy mufflers to get any sound out of the exhaust ??
Ford Racing Sports are rebadged Borla S Types.

OP, I had the GT500's on mine for about 20,000 miles and they sound great, no drone and not raspy and have a nice tone. but they weren't loud enough to me. I heard the Borla S mufflers at a local club meet and they sound like gt500 mufflers on steroids! Really good sounding axlebacks. I have also had Flowmaster Hushpower axlebacks and Roush axleabacks they are all different and have there pluses and negatives. Currently torn between the hushpowers and the Roush. But in total I have spent less then $500 for all three sets, as I know how to find great deals. Go with the Borla's if you can afford them. I have yet to hear one person want to change them for another set. Good luck

I think I might consider muffler deletes, which seems the cheapest way to go. $220.
They look nothing alike ,The Sports have Rolled Tips, Smaller & Lighter , Made from 304 stainless steel and as stated made by Borla

Indeed the Ford SVT's Sport (49 State) and the Touring (50 State Legal) are made by Borla..........As I said in another thread.......Carol Shelby said "I would Never think of using any company Other than BORLA for any car leaving Shelby American" ...............Enough said!.................Sean

man you guys are making it so hard for me lol it's just $700 for some axlebacks seems a bit high to me, it sucks the outlaw flows have a ton of drone, and it sucks that the gt500s are very quiet
I read that JBA exhaust review post and if its quieter than the gt500 then I'll pass too, I will see and choose tomorrow ahh
SOOOOOO between the ford racing(same as the borla S correct?), the gt500s with resonator deletes, or the roush which ones do you think I should go for?
Remember, I have the roush on my '13 v6 and I love the sound but I do want a deep sounding v6 not a sissy nanny one!

I've had all three you just listed and you see what i ended up with, trust me i didnt want to spend 650 on mufflers either but im glad i did.

Learn from the lessons we were never taught. My exhaust adventure:
For two months I was on the fence between the Roush axle back, Corsa Sport axle back, Kooks catback, Magnaflow Competition Catback, Magnaflow Street Catback, Borla S Type Catback, Borla S Type Axle back.
Decided on the Magnaflow Competition Catback. Sounds great. It really does. It has a deep loud rumble but, woops, drones more than I would like and it's blatty.
Ok, midpipe then. Went through the BBK after cat X Pipe, Ford Racing after cat X Pipe, and then finally ended up with the Magnaflow TruX after cat X Pipe because I was sick of swaps. Should have gone Bassani. Damnit.
Drone was addressed only minorly much but the tone was definitely better.
Ok, I'm a smart a$$, LETS GET HEADERS! Kooks 1 7/8" headers with matching high flow catted X pipe. Love the power, love the evil sound, and the drone was considerably reduced! Oh crap, that's right, I have a daily driver street car, not a GT1 racer. SO. FRUCHING. LOUD. I have to tip toe around certain areas where I live before I can open it up. Shoulda went with some JPC over axle pipes and the Borla Touring/Ford Racing Touring from the beginning.
Do it right the first time and be happy. Enjoy your car though, no matter what route you take.

Thanks, I feel like I'm going to go ahead and order the ford racing axlebacks since apparently theyre rebadged s types and I can save some money, what do you think?
I value your opinion too because i know its not your first or second time in the rodeo, the exhaust rodeo

Ebay is a great place to watch for deals on either the S-Types or SVT/FRPP Sports. I got mine for less than $685 shipped.
I had gt500s with no resonators. They sounded good, but i needed more. Now im a s type fan. They look so mean sticking out the back! Im thinking an orx in the future.
