Smile 2013 Mustang GT Suspension Upgrades?

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if installing an Eibach Prokit Plus, Adj. Panhard bar, upper and lower rear control arms are a good start? Are the set of rear control arms necessary? Is there anything I left off that would be necessary when lowering the 5.0? Any help is appreciated!

It's smart to lower your pony as it will correct the roll center in the rear of
your pony, better control through the twisty's, stops fishtails and wheel hop.
You will need the lca's and lowering brackets & the panhard bar will allow you
to recenter the body over the axle. I did just the rear of my pony till I get more cash to do the front right.

50Coyote ... what are goals and what do you plan on doing with your car ... tracking or will it be a DD?

That will be a good start to determine what you are looking at.

Best Regards,

TJ

I found a nice balance between performance and comfort with this set up on my 2011 base GT

Koni STR.T shocks with Eibach pro kit springs,Maximum motorsports CC plates and adjustable panhard with brace.

also I had UPR adj UCA and billet LCA I had a few other goodies like full lenth subframes and relocation brackets Goodridge SS lines and Hawk pads.

This was my dd but I played in the canyons and did a few track days as well with these mods. The ride was firm but not harsh at all.

You dont need all of these upgrades but they make a good combo for street and light track duty.Oh I forgot about the Motul brake fluid

I started with lowering springs quality shocks and struts adjustable ones are better, always replace your strut mounts when adding new struts. Steeda heavy duty mounts are the best! Also get a good strut tower brace! That should get you started!

LCA's are a must IMO. These cars wheel-hop badly, and anything you can do to eliminate/reduce that is a huge plus. Wheel-hop is very violent and will break parts faster than just about anything else.

Go linear rate with springs. My mods are: Steeda Sport/Koni Str.t; Whiteline PHB+Brace/UCA/LCAs; GT500 Strut mounts.

I have zero regrets. Car is extremely planted, predictable, and comfy for DD'ing. I may do LCA relo brackets at some point, but my traction is ridiculously good as she sits.

Yep! That's a solid plan.

I'd recommend these control arms:
11-14 Mustang Adj Upper & Solid Lower Control Arm Package

and this panhard bar:
05-14 Ford Mustang Street Double Adjustable Pan Hard Bar | UPRProducts.com

^^That setup works very well, plus it's Made in America and carries a Lifetime Guarantee.

Koni Yellows and Steeda Sport Springs are a great combo. Sam Strano will set you up.
You will need a panhard bar. Mine is the BMR APB and it's very good quality. So good in fact, I'm adding BMR LCA's, UCA and relo brackets TODAY.

There is a lot of good advice being offered here. Personally, I like the BMR products as they are well built and have zerk fittings on them for lubing. I think this is important to prevent squeaking down the road. Another thing I would recommend is to do the shocks and dampers when you are doing the lowering springs. I was going to cheap out and use my stock shocks, however, advice from so many people on this forum telling me not to do that was the convincer. I am so glad I went with new shocks and dampers (Koni STR.Ts); the ride is awesome and the car handles so much better. Sam Strano knows what he is talking about so you can´t go wrong with his advice.
