Default KW coilovers with Vorshlag camber plates

has anyone here have this specific combo? Either V1 or V3 coilovers with the Vorshlag camber plates? Any issues with install since the coilovers were made for the 05-10 Mustang and have some sort of adapter thing from KW to work with the 11+ front spring mounts....

also, Vorshlag camber plate users please chime in how they've held up for you. Any clunking develop? how long (miles and time wise)

Vorshlag camber plates are rock-solid. No noise, no clunk, after 1000+ miles on track and 15-20 autox events. Just make sure to tighten the caster screws well.

The best guy to talk to about fitting KW's to them would be Jason McDaniel (modernbeat on here) or just call him.

Is Jason a Vorshlag employee or owner? I was planning to call them, just wanted to see if I could get any customer feedback from anyone first...

I use KW-V3s with no camber plates, just camber bolts instead. The only thing I used was the GT500 front strut mounts. There was no other "adapter thing" needed for the front mounts. I would think most camber plates should work OK with the KW's. Haven't seen any news otherwise.

don't GT500 mounts just convert it to 05-10 style mounts?

The adapter thing I'm talking about is on page 8 of the linked pdf below, did they not come with your coilovers?

http://www.kw-store.com/extras/docs/...ah68630045.pdf

having had the KW's for a while, if you had to do it again, would you do anything different?

I love the KW-V3's. Double adjustable and you can set them to your liking. I mis-spoke when I said the GT500 mounts (which may be the same) the 05-10 mounts is what I ordered, around $85-$100. The KW aluminum bushing they talk about in the instructions I believe is used only if you use the stock 11-14 front GT mountT, to fill up the larger hole that isn't present if you use the 05-10 mounts, which most do. You do get a bit more noise out of the KW's on quick drops in the road, pot-holes, but the car tracks straight as an arrow and doesn't dance around when hitting the imperfections in the road.

The only downside so far is that I'm lowered with a 3" Magnaflow exhaust that sometimes hits the breather nipple on the rear axle on large dips due to the diameter of the pipe, the diameter of the bend, and how low the rear is. There is some exhaust wrap there to muffle the sound a bit.

Well I'm assuming since the Vorshlag plates are made to work with stock style springs and shocks, they'd require the aluminum bushing also... From your previous post, it sounded like you didn't have them in your box, is that the case?

I already bought a Boss diff cover so I can move the axle vent there (have a Bob's catch can setup, and it hits my Kooks exhaust at stock height), so that won't be an issue.

The aluminum bushings/spacers have nothing to do with the springs, they are needed because the threaded portion of the strut piston rod are different between 2005 - 2010 and 2011 -present struts. The Vorshlag caster/camber plates are available in many configurations for the Mustang and the KW coilovers are comparable to the 2005 - 2010 setup. So forget about the spacers, call Vorshlag and order camber plates for the 2005- 2010 Mustang.

Awesome, thanks!

I thought they were only available for the 2011+ style...
