I apologize in advance if this is already asked somewhere else on the site. I looked for it elsewhere but came up empty... Does anyone know if ford will be making the coyote a crate engine, if so and when? and will it fin place of a 2008 v6?

anyone know roughly how much one would cost? i might have to put one in mine when this engine good
I have seen complete 4.6 3Vs for $6500 so with a pure guess pulled out of thin air Id say a nice chunk more (? $8000) especially when its brand new. Let them make it for a couple years and it will go down. It will make for a cool project.

Saw that the new 5.0 coyote will be offered as a crate engine around the end of summer through the FRPP catalog and figures to be around $7000. Not sure about wiring harnesses and computer modules but I'm sure they'll have all the things needed to make it one of the baddest hot rod and kit car motors around.
I have a 91 SSP that needs a new power plant. I know this is a new crate engine, but has anyone tried this in a Fox Body? I'm not sure if it would fit without major modafications. Also, does anyone have an opinion on a good crate engine or short block and top end combo for a 1991 Fox Body if the Coyote won't fit?

Check out Stangnet.com
They have a "Built to Cruise" project that is looking very promising
