Was giving my baby a wash tonight - (her second one) and noticed this strange looking electrical thing clipped on my grill. Can someone tell me what this is for? It was a bit dark and the ground was wet so I did not start crawling around to trace...
It sure is an ugly looking thing and seems to be mounted kinda flimsy too. With all the trash on the Houston roads, this baby will likely get hit with something the way it sticks out. Obviously the FORD engineers felt it best to be down low and outside the engine bay. Hmmm - maybe they planned it that way? Perhaps its a $200.00 service part ha ha.
Do you know if its sensing air temp for engine performance / emissions or for HVAC system purposes? I might be less inclined to alter if its for the engine.
Noticed there was another post on the same subject so sorry for the extra thread...
