Default How to remove water spots on gloss vinyl hood stripes

How to remove water spots on gloss vinyl hood stripes....?

Folks, I've noticed that since I parked a couple times at work late at night when the sprinklers come on that I have some subtle water spots on my car and the gloss black stripes. They come off the car paint with car wax but subtle outlines still remain on the black gloss vinyl. Not very noticable but I can still see them..... Car wax does not seem to do the trick on the stripes. Anybody have experience with this....? The car is only 6 weeks old and the stripes were put on new 6 weeks ago. Thanks

Try a detailing product called Ice, works great on paint, glass, plastic and vinyl stripes.

Try a 50/50 mix of white vinegar and water. It should break down those water spots, just don't leave it on very long. After you get the spots off, make sure you wash and wax to help prevent it from happening again.

Toyota makes a product called Sealant Cleaner. Use just like liquid wax. Absolutely the best product I've ever used to remove water or acid rain spots on paint, plastic, or glass. I always keep a bottle on hand.
