I am attempting to remove and replace the old serpentine belt tensioner on my son's 2000 Mustang V6. I have the proper size Torx bit (T-55) and have attempted to loosen the bolt by turning counter clock wise (CCW) using an extension bar for leverage. Unfortunately this effort did not result in loosening of the Torx bolt. I then tried turning it clock wise (CW), however it again did not loosen the Torx bolt. I am affraid of stripping this bolt and need to know which is the proper way to loosen the bolt, CCW or CW? I have searched the internet for an answer to this and could not find any (unless I want to pay $38).
