I was looking for some tips on tinting my headlights.

How much of an impact does it have on your headlight visibility? I have OEM HIDs.

I may just get the Lamin-X tints and put it on myself, or I may drop by a tint shop and have them put it on, not sure yet.

What % tint did you use and what are your thoughts overall?

I would go with headlight covers if they make them for your car. I have some on mine and it looks awesome, but at night its pretty bad because I have windshield tint too. But without the windshield tint it would be alright I guess. I have halogens so its not as bright as yours. I think with tint you will be fine but like I said just go with the covers that way for inspection you can just remove them.

hmmm... That looks REALLY dark I won't be going that far, I think. I don't think I'll go for covers either. What %age do you think those covers are?

I just want to tone down the glass and chrome of the headlights a little.

Anyone out there with a tinted 2010-2013 with OEM HIDs?

I think they are around 15%. That would be my best guess.

I have laminx on my oem halogen lights. I used whatever the lightest shade they make is and its a pretty subtle difference and light output is fine. I like it a lot.

Easy to install as well since the the light isn't very curved, you shouldnt need to take it to a tint shop.

I've used these guys in the past. A bit expensive, but the vinyl is pretty good. Good luck!:
