I want to buy a new mustang but I can't decide if I wanna go with the new 5.0 or the blown 4.6. I'll probably end up spending close to the same money

Both can be modded but I would take the 5.0 for daily driving because the cobra should br a garage queen so it will been worth even more in the future.

I'm not saying a cobra is unlivable to drive. I'm just saying that IMO an '11 is more comfortabe to drive. It just feels like it soaks up the bumps better and fit and finish is way better. Not to mention sync and all the nice features it has. Not sure what exactly a cobra came with but the ones I've been in were bare bones models.
I would normally say the 03 cobra...I love the 03-04 cobra, I like them a lot more then my 2011. But it is a garage queen, and I wouldn't buy one for a daily driver. The gt is a better car overall for a daily driver. Plus stock for stock, the new 5.0 has more power.

Cobra. get them while you still can. I love my 12 GT to death but have you heard the SC whine from the terminator????? absolutely glorious + you can mod the hell out of them since no need to buy a SC....its already there.
BTW stock the cobra makes more power. Rated at 390 hp i think however, they made about 400 ish hp to the rear tires stock from the showroom floor. so BIG time underrated
I say GT if it's really going to be your main car.
Love the '03 Cobra, though.

two totally different cars obviously, the 11 is so much more refined and can make power rather easily, they can make crazy power with a blower, the Cobras have a mean look, but lack refinement, the interiors are bad compared to the new cars, but they can make insane power with little worry with that brick **** house bottom end, and they sound amazing! that being said for me personally I went with an 11 GT as I was in the same boat as you a couple of years ago

Cobra, even as a DD. There is at least one around here that is DD by the owner and it still looks like the day it was new. The owner takes meticulous care of it. I think it boils down to whether you want high resale value or just plain fun of ownership. The 5.0 has so many pleasing advantages, but I'd think the Cobra would just have more of a fun brute force feel to it.

One other thing I would point out that I haven't seen anyone else comment on is that the 5.0 has traction control. I don't think the terminators have any TC system at all. I'm pretty sure Advancetrac saved me from going into a ditch at least once already. A blown 5.0 is a lot of power for the streets.
I guess if you want something more rare, or ready to go all-out crazy with, a terminator would be s good choice. The 5.0 is way more refined, though, and its interior wins handily. Either choice is total win in my book.
