Traded my Mustang GT in for a 12' Camaro SS L99 Auto
Unfortunately I couldn't keep both. The 5.0 will be missed.
If this was gonna primarily be a drag car I would have kept the stang but as a daily driver I've surprisingly found the auto/paddle shift Camaro to be superior in the fun department. The runner up and close second was a 135i.

LOL I was just thinking that!! But it is what it is. I'm known as 5.0ben here. As a Stang lover I will still visit this forum for the latest info and provide any advice or help that I can.

are you feeling difficult to drive 5.0 in traffice ?
I've long wondered "where are paddle shifters for the Mustang?"...for crying out loud they have them on the new Taurus!

I sold my '12 SS for a '12 5.0. I thought the Camaro was horrible! To each their own.
I did test drive a 2010 manual SS and found the shifter to be in a strange position and the steering wheel fugly. The manual felt much weaker than the auto too somehow, I think due to the gearing.
The 12+ model interior is so much nicer than the 10-11 and the auto feels like a rocket.

I've owned a few F-bodies and drove a new SS. It just felt huge, and I felt like I was sitting in a low bathtub, and I'm 6-2. Just couldn't get past the interior as a whole, so off to the Ford dealer I went.
Nice drivetrain though, good luck with it.

Personally I am a Camaro lover, so good trade as far as I'm concerned. Paddle shifters are just a craze. I have a 2012 Chrysler 300S hemi with paddle shifters. I do use them but not much. Chrysler 5speed auto tranny sucks though, they are probably way more fun in a Camaro.
I'm restoring my 1966 GT in hopes of selling it and buying a 1968 SS.
Glad you're happy with it. You're the first person I've ever known / talked to that went Mustang ---> Camaro and not the other way around. Walk to the beat of your own drum man, enjoy your ride.
I don't understand the love for paddle shifters. It's a glorified automatic and shifts like one . . . and I don't find it fun at all. Manual or nothing.
Make no mistake, I think the Camaros are nice, just not with an auto tranny.
Yeah if the 11' auto GT I had paddles I would have tuned it and kept it most likely.
Paddles are useless though. The ones in the Camaro have a delay that makes them a non issue to me. Paddles only work right on a dual clutch set up, not with a torque converter...
