Cool 2011+ Mustang Sticking Clutch Pedal Easy Fix Tutorial!



Since I bought the car I've had an issue with the clutch sticking at high rpms when driving the car hard at the track or on the street. Well a guy posted in another forum some instructions for fixing the issue and tried it out and it worked! So here is a video tutorial for everyone since I know a lot of people have this issue! Let me know if you have any questions!!

I got rid of that stupid spring a long time ago. The clutch pedal is a little stiffer with the spring removed but that's not a bad thing. The pedal effort was way too light with it installed and I could feel the spring cam over every time I depressed and released the clutch pedal.

Going for a quick drive now to see if i can replicate the sticky clutch.

The three pieces that came off (spring, white & black piece) are no longer needed correct? And since there will be more play at the top of the clutch does that mean that the clutch travel will be shortened?

Yeah they aren't needed. And no the clutch travel is still the same, it just doesn't have the spring pushing it down a little bit at the top of the travel.

Removal done. Shifted at 7000rpm and no sticking to the floor. Also a added benefit, it's feels better on normal driving. Easier to start also. A recommended mod to all MT82 owners. Next the clutch line, already ordered.
