Just had a quick question to see if anyone who has this on their GT mustangs removed it and the procedure to do it? Unfortunately in Canada this is how our GT's come from the factory. i want to get rid of it. Is this just stuck on with adhesive, or with clips?
any help would be appreciated.
There are pics attached. Its the piece that wraps around the top section of the upper grille.

I think it plays nicely off the chrome pony and the bright accents of the HIDs.

If you love your dog, get a microchip, they really work! My lost dog was back home in just under 24 hours thanks to the good citizens who called the county and the microchip that told animal control exactly where he lived.
So the GT has a V6 grille or is it a GT grille with chrome trim?
BTW, I'm with you. It would look a lot better w/o the chrome. In fact, I wish they made a grille with nothing on it all... no pony, no fog lights, just the factory honeycomb.

If you just want the pony black you can always plastidip it. Or if you want a grille without the fogs oe the pony you can get the roush or saleen grilles

The GT's in Canada have the grilles similar to the V6. There are no GTs that have the fogs in the upper part of the grille because of some weird laws in canada. The 2012 mustangs have that but because the 2013 uses led daytime running lights all new mustangs have the V6ish grille.

Take the bumper out, it's really easy to do and then plasti dip it. I put my boss grill but the fog deletes were touching the paint so I had to remove the plasti dip. If you just spray the chrome without nothing touching it then your good.

how is this secured to the car? is it just with adhesive? or is it bolted to the bumper?

We dont get GT fogs because they are mounted higher than our headlight so canada said oh no no give them all v6 front ends! But I too removed the entire grille and installed the roush upper. Still waiting for lower. But yes the grille and chrome like surround are held on by clips. Removed my bumper n popped em all off now I like my front end

where are the clips secured? if i remove the chrome wrap will there be holes in the bumper where it is clipped in? or is it clipped into the grille itself?

The grille is clipped into the chrome surround and the surround is clipped to the front bumper/fascia. I dont think you can remove the chrome part without changing the grille entirely
